30/03/2025: A delightful experience. Very refined place. Excellent quality food. Simple dishes of our traditions not thrown on the plate, like many places, but expertly combined. Discreet and courteous service. We will return.
30/03/2025: A unique experience – having dinner in a real grotto carved into the rock. In the Scicli area, people still lived in such caves as recently as the 1950s. The atmosphere is somewhat dark and mysterious. The menu is refined, with small but artfully presented portions and sophisticated flavours. The meal begins with a little amuse-bouche: fresh bread with a splash of olive oil on a plate. I ordered octopus on a bed of potato mousse, while my husband had ospa da (a type of fish). Both dishes were very tasty. We even had room for dessert. The service was excellent.
The only downside is that it’s either too expensive or not appealing to locals – the guests were all tourists. It lacked the lively chatter so typical of places frequented by Sicilians.

27/03/2025: Unfortunately I wasn't able to taste the delicacies that I read about from other reviewers who had this luck; I, however, was unable to have it due to a last minute health problem even though I had also ordered a special cake for my wife's birthday: the 5 stars are precisely for the genuine and authentic courtesy with which this whole matter was treated by the person I spoke to on the phone. I live in Turin and I would have come on a short holiday to your splendid countries to have dinner for the birthday event with you, but I am very sure that as soon as I can I will want to make up for this unfortunate occasion. Thank you.

13/03/2025: Personale cortese, locale pulito e cibo molto buono rendono quest’osteria un posto in cui val la pena pranzare o cena.
Pizza buonissima, e primi deliziosi.
27/02/2025: On a cold February morning we needed some warming food and good wine, so parked on Corso Umberto I to walk up to Osteria del Ponte where we chose a table for two. A good sign for us was that there were other local folk eating already. I chose the Pasta 'ncasciata (with fried aubergine, cooked ham, onion, caciocavallo cheese, and breadcrumbs) and my companion the Cavati alla Norma con ricotta salata, both of which arrived steaming hot and proved totally delicious. The portions were generous. I had a glass of Grillo wine, and we rounded off our delightful meal with a Tortino dal cuore (pie with a warm heart) with vanilla ice cream. The service was very good and when I used the toilet facilities they were spotlessly clean, though I noted for hygiene's sake that there was no toilet seat. It was a lovely experience and a week later we still recall;l our lunch there with pleasure and delight. I kept my jacket on for the lunch as the restaurant was cool inside.
