Ristorante Cinese Giapponese Hong Yun

29/09/2025: This time around, I'm in Avezzano for work. I was looking for a restaurant near the hotel where I'm staying and I came across Hong Yun, which I must say, I was very impressed.
The restaurant doesn't offer an all-you-can-eat menu, but the quality and size of the portions are really good. Luckily, I ordered the right amount of food, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat it all.
The grilled ravioli are among the largest I've ever eaten, and the salad with tuna, avocado, mango, wakame, and salmon is very substantial.
Of course, I'm attaching the photos I took so you can get an idea.
If you're in the Avezzano area and you like sushi, Chinese, or Thai cuisine, I recommend stopping by Hong Yun. ππ»ππ₯ππ£
29/09/2025: This restaurant is simply unbeatable! Every dish we tried was delicious and of excellent quality, with authentic and well-balanced flavors. The care taken in preparing the food is evident in every bite, from appetizers to main courses.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is courteous, making the experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality Chinese cuisine!

This is how I'd sum up my experience at Mandarin, a Chinese restaurant in L'Aquila. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try this type of cuisine.
19/07/2025: One of the best Chinese restaurants in the entire province of L'Aquila. Reasonable prices, excellent quality, and friendly service. I recommend it to anyone; it's an old-school Chinese restaurant unlike any you'll find anymore, uncontaminated by the stupid trend of forcing Japanese cuisine everywhere. A truly wonderful surprise.

01/10/2025: An experience to forget. The food was embarrassingly good: fish was not fresh and tasteless, and the presentation was poor. But the worst part was finding a hair stuck in one of the portions. Disgusting and totally unacceptable, it even makes me question the hygiene of the kitchen. An all-you-can-eat restaurant like this shouldn't even open: a waste of money, never again.
I'm not giving 0 stars because I can't.

13/07/2025: The food was decent. But the worst part was the service. Many dishes never arrived even though we had placed multiple orders. It was clear they needed the free table to seat other people. Too many tables for too little staff.

However, bear in mind that dishes come out slow even on Tuesdays because the place is packed!

29/08/2025: Almost everything has changed. Nice, large location. Friendly service from the younger waiters. Others, busy preparing and serving, are very angry and annoyed, but they must have their reasons. It's not like it used to be. Prices have gone up, food is less varied. I won't go there again, and seeing the dining room empty compared to the past, I think I'm not the only one. It used to be busy and they worked on numbers, but today the numbers aren't there, and you should ask yourself why? Never mind... I'll continue to go to other restaurants that for 25-30 euros you eat fish, drink, and get served.

14/09/2025: I'm completely satisfied with the quality, courtesy, and cleanliness of this restaurant. I go at least a couple of times a week on different days and at different times. The menu is exceptional, varied, and the ingredients are excellent. All, and I repeat, all, the staff are welcoming, helpful, and polite. I can only recommend it because it's a guarantee.
14/09/2025: Disappointing in every way. The atmosphere was sad, the dishes didn't match the photos, the tempura was cold, the fried food was small and tasteless, the rice noodles were stuck together, the staff was disorganized... in short, a disaster.

Really good food.
Nice and friendly staff.
Prices are reasonable.
I recommend a tablet for ordering...the slip of paper and menus are now obsolete.
I recommend stating what you're delivering so it's easier to understand what you ordered.
11/09/2025: After lunch, when paying, my daughter asked for a drop of water and was refused, saying we'd have to buy another bottle (which we'd already purchased during lunch at β¬2.50 for 0.75 ml). I told the owner that the little girl (who's 5) would only need a little, and she again forced me to buy it if I wanted it. Nothing like this has ever happened before. We definitely won't be returning.

14/09/2025: Terrible experience, from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. It's incredible. The "all you can eat" formula is incredible, but as soon as you order three dishes, they tell you you have to wait to order the next ones. Meanwhile, you're starving, and it's the same every time. The wait, too... the wine arrived warm... the food was acceptable, but 0 for everything else, sorry.
When I got home, I felt sick.

I tried both the Japanese and Chinese dishes and was very satisfied. The sushi is fresh and beautifully presented, with generous portions and a wide variety of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. The Chinese dishes are equally impressive: delicious steamed dumplings, crispy chicken, and perfect stir-fried rice.
The service is fast and friendly, and the staff is always available. The atmosphere is welcoming and modern, ideal for both a dinner with friends or a more relaxed evening.
Unbeatable value: with the "All You Can Eat" option, you leave feeling full and without feeling "heavy."
Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

02/10/2025: I've been there several times. The food is poor, the people serving the food are very rude, and the atmosphere is dirty. Plus, I didn't feel well after I left. So, I wouldn't recommend coming here. Avoid.
27/09/2025: Terrible experience! It's true that in Chinese restaurants they bring everything quickly, but today they served us backwards; the appetizers came with coffee. The quality was terrible; the prawns tasted like two roasted crickets. I'll avoid describing the tofu with peppers and beef...a panna cotta-like mush immersed in a brown liquid. I don't recommend it.
