17/03/2025: We have been going there for years, the quality of the food is excellent, refined and original dishes, but there is a sore point that stops us from going there, the time... since they put the time to free the table we have not gone there anymore, a family that wants to go out in peace in this place can no longer, because the anxiety of leaving the table and eating in a hurry is not for us! Too bad because our child loved going there so much, now we are trying others. If they removed the time we would definitely go back and so would our friends. You can't eat in 1 hour on a Saturday night! Also because arriving at 7pm would be too early. Too much time passes between ordering and waiting for service. (remove the shifts).

12/03/2025: Fast service, very competent staff regarding allergies, intolerances and celiac disease. Everything excellent, quality ingredients. As a symptomatic celiac, I didn't have any problems, they were attentive and punctual in showing me my dishes from time to time and making me mark them separately. Advised!

07/04/2025: Very nice place in the Porta Venezia area. An external part and an internal part I tried the aperitif and it was really good, the sake-based drink was really excellent and what's more you could order three small plates including sushi! With the addition of five euros you can get other dishes. I found it convenient and also of good quality!

06/04/2025: Ricordavo il Dragone D’oro come uno dei ristoranti migliori, invece è peggiorato molto. Ci hanno fatti sedere nella sala principale, sopra al vetro pavimentato, che traballava ogni volta che qualcuno passava o sbatteva i piedi. In seguito il primo ordine è arrivato dopo 35min, la qualità del cibo è calata molto rispetto ad un anno fa’. Il servizio dei camerieri è molto disattento, dopo aver chiesto delle posate e una salsa il cibo ha fatto in tempo a freddarsi, e la fame a svanire! Per non parlare dell’ambiente caotico e rumoroso che non permette il dialogo durante il pranzo, tra l’eco delle voci nella stanza e i camerieri che spostando ripetitivamente i tavoli e le sedie peggioravano solo la situazione…

05/04/2025: First and last time: Apart from the fact that the quality of the food is well below average (everything quite tasteless and dishes indistinguishable from each other) the service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited almost half an hour without touching food, while customers who arrived after us were served, the waiters passed by us but didn't graze us, honestly at a certain point we were about to get up and leave. The method is the classic card to fill out, seen in other restaurants, except that in the others they are very careful and ask you if they can take it, here instead you wait and hope... Basically you have to catch them, block them and pray you get something. Let's say that with the service they caught up with the times when the room emptied and we, who had entered among the first, left last. Warning for damsels going to the bathroom: Mixed and without key. There are billions of sushi restaurants. Once you're wrong, twice you're not.

L’ambiente è elegante ma accogliente, con un design curato nei dettagli che crea un’atmosfera perfetta sia per una cena romantica che per una serata tra amici. Il menu è un viaggio tra sapori orientali rivisitati con un tocco contemporaneo. Ogni piatto è presentato con grande cura e i sapori sono equilibrati, intensi, mai banali. Consigliatissimi i dim sum, delicati e pieni di gusto, e l’anatra alla pechinese, servita in modo spettacolare. Anche la carta dei vini e dei cocktail è all’altezza: ottima selezione e servizio attento nel consigliare l’abbinamento giusto. Il personale è professionale, cordiale e sempre disponibile a spiegare i piatti e a guidarti nella scelta. Si percepisce attenzione al cliente e voglia di offrire un’esperienza completa, non solo un pasto. Prezzi in linea con la qualità dell’esperienza: non è economico, ma ogni euro è ben speso. Mandarino è il posto ideale per chi cerca cucina asiatica raffinata e atmosfera di classe a Firenze. Tornerò sicuramente.

28/03/2025: we got a bit tired of italian food after a week so went here and it tasted like home (source: am chinese) one waitress came off as rude (but maybe was just busy) but the other waitress was very nice and friendly with us :) 15€ in total (including copperto and tax) for a dish and a bowl of rice is great value, portions were big. even better, you can get a dish each with your friends and share everything.
