30/03/2026: We happened to be passing by, and since it was lunchtime and we have a 2.5-year-old daughter, we stopped in. If we have the chance again, we'll definitely stop in! Everything is delicious. You can choose from starters, main courses, or rotisserie. I highly recommend it. A wide selection.

12/10/2025: U'mammami restaurant is a brilliant idea from chef and owner Raffaele. The dining room is small and welcoming, where every detail is designed to evoke the local atmosphere, yet with the taste and refinement of contemporary style. The open kitchen itself is a prelude to the quality of what you'll be eating. The dishes reflect the chef's research and passion. For appetizers, we had Genoese-style tacos and one with out-of-this-world scampi tartare, as well as a sublime tagliolini timbale with rabbit and mushroom ragù. We then opted for a seafood paella, with that savory flavor that makes the sea explode in your mouth. And what about the pre-desserts: the basil ice cream with extra virgin olive oil and Maldon salt is that umami effect that stays etched in your memory. For dessert, we opted for fried pastiera ice cream and chocolate eggplant, which I would describe with one adjective: surprising.
A special mention goes to the waiter and sommelier, who accompanied our dinner with professionalism, refinement, and friendliness, helping us fully enjoy our culinary experience.
To Chef Raffaele and his staff, we can only say thank you. We'll be back soon.

07/07/2026: I happened to be passing through this area for work, and at the recommendation of someone who already knew you, I had the opportunity to try your mozzarella. It turned out to be delicious, with a wonderful texture, releasing unique sensations that only expert craftsmanship can provide!

07/02/2026: Poor service and visibly understaffed staff. I'd like to point out an aggressive and misogynistic waiter who uses verbal abuse toward women when discreetly and politely called upon to do his job. It remains a gathering place for unaware teenagers.

11/11/2025: Due to the rain and perhaps the seasonality, we dined inside the small dining room. Having booked through The Fork, we were able to save some money and secure a reservation.
The restaurant is simple but elegant, even though we didn't use the main dining room. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, from the welcome to the service, and the food was excellent, especially the main courses.
We highly recommend the artichokes, the meatballs, and especially the main courses, particularly the intensely flavorful suckling pig and the crispy, flavorful baked potatoes. Kudos to the truly high-quality cuisine.

26/07/2026: I went in to buy a Nutella-filled croissant for a child who was with me. The guy at the counter, very kindly, went to the counter to prepare it.
At that point, the owner—I assume he was the owner—intervened rudely, calling the employee over and telling me to make do with what was already on display.
Too bad the child wanted that very sweet treat. Zero empathy, zero professionalism.
An episode that shows little care for the customer and little respect for the workers.
A truly unpleasant experience. I strongly advise against it.
18/07/2026: Excellent coffee, at least for those who made it to us, the donut was a little too oily but good overall, for the vegan croissant there was little choice of creams inside and it wasn't very fragrant, it's a bar where I don't go very often but I go back there unlike other places for the friendliness and politeness as well as the fact that 90% of the things they make are good

27/08/2026: The restaurant is no longer called Villa Giovanna, but Vesuvè, a very ambiguous Google search, still lists it as Villa Giovanna, even though the management has changed. Among the few remaining certainties, it's worth mentioning the fresh and pleasant air that Monte Somma offers on hot summer evenings. Otherwise, it's a total disappointment. The service is improvised and superficial, the seating is extremely uncomfortable, and the pizzas are rubbery and made with scant ingredients. The kitchen is hidden by curtains that separate it directly from the restrooms; the latter are in a pitiful state. Finally, the €3 cover charge per person...an exorbitant price for the service and quality offered. We won't be returning.

28/06/2026: We stopped here more on accident and wondered into the beautiful cafe. You could see magnificent cakes in the freezer. We ended up with a cafe and semifreddo for only 4€. Definitely recommend 100%
