06/08/2025: I've known this pastry shop all my life. I know my grandmother's hometown, where she often came to visit on Sundays as a boy. I've always had clear memories of the sfogliatella that Santaniello used to make. Over the years, I've continued to come here occasionally, even after her passing, when the business was carried on by her children and now by her granddaughters. "The flavors of each dessert are balanced, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. The sfogliatella is always a strong point, although I must admit it's a little less abundant than in the past. One of the best I've ever eaten, along with the one at Attanasio in Naples. The coffee scoux is an explosion of flavor with a cream made from real espresso coffee with ground coffee, like so many do. "The staff is attentive without being intrusive. "They're knowledgeable about the desserts and ingredients, and you're always made to feel welcome." "You're always made to feel welcome." The service is impeccable. The restaurant has remained as classic as it once was, well-maintained. Obviously, I'm biased every time I go in, thinking it's like stepping back in time and becoming a child again. I often hear this place accused of being expensive. The prices are reasonable, the quality is excellent. They still faithfully use grandfather's recipes, and the ingredients are carefully selected without any artificial additions.
