19/12/2025: We often dined at this family-run restaurant in August 2025. Simple yet authentic cuisine; the freshest fish, always caught by the owner—the octopus with potatoes is a must-try: it melts in your mouth! The view is breathtaking, overlooking the sea, with the colors of the sunset making it all the more evocative. The staff is incredibly kind: Caterina is always available and attentive. Thank you for everything! We hope to return!

25/08/2025: Off the beaten path, you'll find authentic cuisine. Pizzeria Ristorante San Francesco offers just that: traditional Calabrian cuisine, as it should be. Following Google's info (thanks to reviewers), we found this place. There's no showy display designed to impress (the exterior doesn't attract tourists, but perhaps that's a good thing). But inside, the truth comes through: excellent ingredients will win you over.
A few dishes, but enough to get to know the area, all homemade with home-grown vegetables (grown directly by the owners). The first courses are delicious, as are the appetizers, pizzas, and second courses. But even the wait before tasting excellent Fileja alla Norma or alla Calabrese is worth it.
The flavor explodes in your mouth. Simple, yet genuine and sincere, flavors that are missing from the surrounding tourist restaurants.
Added to this is a rare kindness and courtesy that make the dinner even more enjoyable and make you say: I'll be back again (which we did).
If you have a car and want to experience the simplicity of Calabrian flavors, I recommend going there—it's really worth it.
We've been back three times. Congratulations.

13/12/2025: Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at this restaurant. The food was probably the worst we had during our entire trip in Italy: the risotto and pizza were both quite bad, perhaps they were rushing as there was a very large group of people who came shortly after us. Worst was when we got up to pay, we waited for quite a while and then the man at the cash counter was not pleasant and waved us off, as if telling us to get out. Second star for the young lady who really tried her best to understand us, even though she didn't speak much English.
10/12/2025: I recommend the fantastic company pizza.

07/12/2025: I was there with my family, unfortunately it was all negative. We had 3 grilled fish and a mixed fried fish, the grilled fish was burnt and the fried fish was soft and greasy, the hot house white wine was served in a carafe placed inside the ice bucket and to finish it off, lemon sorbet made up of 3 scoops of ice cream with a little vodka, all this with a truly excessive price both for the place that needs renovating and for the quality of food and service.

03/09/2025: The service was very friendly. The owners' cats occasionally wandered through the restaurant, but they made sure they didn't disturb the guests. The food was very, very delicious. I highly recommend the antipasti starter: Antipasti Casejo, First: Fileja cipolla e nduja, Secondi: Griglata mista du carne, and Tagliata arugula e grana. A visit is worthwhile. Perhaps a reservation is recommended!

It's not my habit to leave negative reviews, but in this case, it's truly impossible not to, and I hope it helps others avoid the same rip-off we did.
The food quality/price ratio is NON-EXISTENT, the fish quality is extremely poor, and the prices are like those of a gourmet restaurant.
Terrible service, staff who are definitely not professional, and zero professionalism.
The final straw was the mind-boggling bill, which only listed the total amount without detailing the various courses—a real rip-off!

27/08/2025: The hotel proudly retains its original appearance, yet remains well-maintained. The room amenities are impeccable. Maria Luisa, her husband, and their daughter Ivana were extremely kind and helpful. The location is strategic for exploring the entire Costa Degli Dei, from Pizzo Calabro to Capo Vaticano. Bars and supermarkets are just steps away. The value for money is excellent. Highly recommended.

29/10/2025: Beautiful venue right on the beach. Service was very nice. Some of menu items were not available for lunch which is understandable. We would recommend this restaurant for the view alone.
21/09/2025: I've had lunch twice at this restaurant with its enchanting view. I was on vacation with friends and would have returned several times given the quality of the food and the tranquility of the place, but we were mocked for tactical menu changes like,
"Oh! We don't have this seafood appetizer (20 euros) today, but if you want, I'll bring you octopus and marinated anchovies."
They didn't specify that they become two separate dishes, and you pay 20 euros for two tentacles and 20 euros for 8 anchovies.
So your seafood appetizer becomes a starred appetizer for 40 euros.
The receipt never arrived.
We were wrong not to ask for anything at the time, but we were on a happy, carefree vacation and only later realized we'd been a bit ripped off.

Muchas gracias por la hospitalidad, deliciosa comida con ingredientes locales, vino con sabor y su atención a todos y cada uno de los detalles.
17/05/2025: Mio marito ed io siamo tornati a mangiare a Pasqua in questo meraviglioso ristorante. Esattamente come la volta precedente, abbiamo trovato i titolari che ci hanno accolto a braccia aperte, come persone di famiglia 😃. Cibo delicato, di ottima qualità, preparato veramente con tanto amore. Il dolce al bergamotto è la fine del mondo😁. Ci torneremo di sicuro 😉.

29/05/2025: Durante il mio soggiorno a Briatico sono ritornata più volte, buona la pasticceria fresca, ottima la pasta di mandorle, prodotti realizzati giornalmente di conseguenza sono molto freschi. Più può anche assaggiare pizza al trancio, arancini, crocchette e qualche altro prodotto per un pasto veloce. Sia il titolare che le altre persone sono disponibili.

10/08/2024: Paramos aquí para probar la granita y el helado, los dos eran excelentes, la granita de almendra era suave cremoso y refrescante! El helado de pistacho - helado fue el mejor que he probado, era cremoso, suave, suave y el sabor era simplemente increíble, nunca probé nada parecido. La dueña del bar, una jovencita, explicó cómo todavía utilizan los métodos tradicionales para hacer el granito y el helado. Muy recomendable!
