06/01/2026: It's rare to decide to dine at the same place two nights in a row, but at Archi in Pietra, our curiosity to explore the menu led us to do so. We found solid cuisine and a genuine welcome that encouraged us to linger. You didn't feel like mere customers, but rather welcome guests, treated with attentive, never formal courtesy, from the moment you made your reservation to the bill.
THE GASTRONOMIC JOURNEY
The quality is evident from the start, with a selection of high-quality, flavorful, and carefully selected local cured meats.
THE MEAT
The cooking technique for the rib-eye steak was remarkable. Despite being rare, the cut was clean and free of excess liquid: impeccable execution.
THE FIRST COURSES
The paccheri with fondue, porcini mushrooms, chestnuts, and truffle were very interesting. Each ingredient retained its own identity. In particular, the choice to leave the chestnuts whole rather than chopped allows you to appreciate the fruit's texture, a valuable detail for those who want to experience the individual elements on the plate.
MAIN COURSES
The mixed roast with Calabrian products proved to be an excellent choice, balanced and faithful to the flavors of the region. The restaurant is perfect for both a regenerating lunch and a relaxed dinner.
WINE CELLAR AND DESSERTS
The extensive wine cellar, boasting local wines, offers thoughtful pairings and showcases local labels. Even the carefully crafted and never boring desserts confirm the high quality of the offerings.

17/08/2025: I'm sorry, but I didn't like it.... Sila appetizers with: cooked ham, non-local cured meats, ham and pancetta. Only the bean salad was good. The rest was nothing special.
Two flavorless first courses, and then we only asked for fruit for two people because we were full. The bill was for four people...140.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very plentiful and delicious.
I hope to return next year for another wonderful weekend in the snow.

03/11/2025: A necessary premise:
- I've stayed four times over the years, the last one on the weekend of November 1-2, and three more in recent years, with my Lecce Motorcycle Club, friends, and my girlfriend, this time with my girlfriend, a couple of friends, and a daughter;
- This review applies to four people, so it's four reviews in one;
- Calabria region, Lake Ampollino area, Villaggio Palumbo, and the Ice Rink, simply my heart!
Having said this, I'd like to add that Alessandro and Claudio are extraordinary people, excellent entrepreneurs—workers like few I've met, extremely kind, helpful, and capable both as entrepreneurs and as workers, truly exemplary.
We've ALWAYS had a wonderful stay and even better dinners: authentic Calabrian cuisine and authentic wood-fired pizza. The family cares deeply about the local area, the authentic and profound Sila identity, and they demonstrate it from dawn to dusk, they never stop!
This time they've outdone themselves: the accommodation (a cabin, previously known) is a truly intimate and welcoming gem, the restaurant, as always, offers unique flavors, and the Sila products, both home-grown and locally produced, are as surprising as they are. The warmth of the facility blends with the quality of the 'GUSTO SILA' products. This was the pleasant discovery of this last visit. A REAL amaro made ONLY with local herbs, with no sugar... wonderful, and the best part? The bottle for sale, a must-buy.
Congratulations, guys! Your management is serious and exemplary, you bring wealth to the region and beyond.
You are a point of reference for thousands of Apulians and Salento residents who now know you, and for half of Italy.
And then... wonderful excursions on quads and horses, a shop where you can buy excellent products, both their own and local... there's so much more to say!
Everyone was very satisfied, even the little one!

08/10/2025: Terrible experience... dirty rooms, untrained staff... But worst of all, the owner was very rude and surly, certainly not up to the task of running a hotel restaurant.

13/04/2025: Premetto che la strada è un viaggio. Attraversi la sila ma è assolutamente ripagato. Ogni singolo alimento è una eccellenza, tutto assolutamente di qualità dagli antipasti ai primi ai secondi. Cheescake così buona che nn ricordo negli ultimi anni. Servizio rapidissimo e impeccabile, proprietari gentili. Luogo curato, animali assolutamente ben tenuti. Suggerisco di migliorare spazio esterno x famiglie con aree giochi. speriamo di tornare in questo sogno,grazie

L’amore e la passione dei titolari in tutto quello che fanno lo trovi in quello che mangi…
Dagli antipasti ai dolci tutto scorre con grande piacevolezza un percorso culinario tra i salumi e i formaggi di produzione propria, i porcini e le carni a km 0 sapientemente preparati dalla titolare che insieme ai figli ed al marito conducono questa piccola fattoria con trattoria,caseificio laboratorio per i salumi (rigorosamente di maiale nero di calabria) . È possibile soggiornare in piccole baite immerse nel bosco .
Per tornare al cibo …. L’affettato , una lonza di maiale nero che si scioglie in bocca , le patate al forno con lardo una squisitezza unica , i ceci con gli spinaci cucinati nella” pignata”sul fuoco del camino un tuffo nella mia infanzia , il formaggio di capra erborinato superlativo . Tagliolini ai funghi e scilatelli al ragù di maiale deliziosi. Ottimo assortimento di vini rossi calabresi .
Tutto in una atmosfera famigliare … ti arriva il calore dei proprietari che si aggirano intorno ai tavoli per coccolare i propri clienti e dare info su come realizzano i prodotti .
Insomma se ci metti l’anima in quello che fai lo senti e ti fa stare bene .
I prezzi sono al di sotto del valore e della qualità del cibo offerto.

31/12/2024: Mi recavo in questo ristorante attratto dalle recensioni molto positive. Partiamo dalla location, veramente elegante e suggestiva, atmosfera calda ed accogliente.
Il loro forte sono gli antipasti, davvero eccellenti. Abbiamo mangiato tra le altre cose, delle polpette sia fritte che al sugo davvero ottime, molto buona anche la polenta servita con funghi, affettati di alta qualità. Abbiamo continuato con i primi, ottimi i cavatelli fatti a mano con ragù, seguiti dagli gnocchi con fonduta di formaggio e pistacchio di bronte. Abbiamo assaggiato anche dei paccheri con funghi serviti sempre su fonduta di formaggio. Devo dire che lo chef ha un amore particolare dalla scelta presente, dei formaggi fusi, magari direi di non esagerare con questa tipologia di piatti, ma è una mia opinione, naturalmente. Ampia scelta di carni alla brace, ma non ci siamo arrivati, poiché l’ antipasto è davvero abbondante. Ottimo anche il dolce, anche se non di produzione propria. Dovessi ritornare, punterei sui funghi, il proprietario ha una grande passione. Tutto ottimo comunque. Servizio attento e cordiale. Il migliore in zona, sicuramente ed ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
30/12/2024: un bel ristorante anche se visto da fuori non sembra curato e piccolino , ma inaspettatamente all' interno e' un classico ristorante di montagna, curato e piacevole e spazioso. Personale super accogliente e del mestiere ,ti consigliano e ti guidano nella degustazione dei piatti che propongono gli chef. Ovviamente non può mancare il porcino in tutte le sue forme e il tartufo. Vino Rosato della casa scende bene. Antipasto della casa davvero ricco e gustoso.

Caro Giuseppe hai vinto tu x il miglior pranzo/cena di questa mini vacanza
Mi ero fermato x una tagliatella ai funghi che dice sia famosa da queste parti e mi sono ritrovato ad un banchetto di matrimonio
Serie infinita di Antipasti di ottima qualità
E poi questa pasta ai funghi veramente superlativa
Vino della casa buono
Purtroppo ero di fretta xche dovevo proseguire, e non mi sono gustato bene il pranzo, ma ritorno di sicuro
Ospitalità veramente superlativa
Ah il prezzo 25 euro x quello che ho mangiato e bevuto più che onesto
