01/11/2024: We found ourselves going to Saracena to visit the Vallata delle Zucche with the children and I was looking for a place to have lunch. Saracena is truly a little jewel practically unknown to me but on closer inspection not only to me since it was Saturday all the few restaurants were closed for lunch. The only one found open was the Garga which, taking advantage of an agreement with the Park, was exceptionally open for lunch offering a complete menu for €25. We opted for pumpkin and bacon gnocchi and sliced ​​veal with porcini mushrooms. I must say that I really enjoyed both courses, it's a shame that I couldn't order à la carte (given the fixed menu) also because the menu seems very interesting and the costs are low. If I find myself passing by Saracena this time I will have no doubts about where to go to eat and we hope that they will open the full menu for lunch too. Ah, I almost forgot, it's also a pizzeria as well as a restaurant. It is possible to park in a reserved car park near the restaurant and, even if a little hidden, there is a ramp to allow access even for those with reduced mobility.
