24/09/2025: At over 1,300 meters above sea level, in a bright clearing overlooked by a family of buzzards, you'll find the magnificent Baita dei Faggi. It's located within an old production site that, since 1910, employed many workers cutting the precious beech wood needed to make railway sleepers and gunstocks. In this corner of authentic Calabria where you can reach the stars, Massimo and Silvia tenaciously host travelers with a warm welcome, demonstrating great expertise in their work and a love for the local produce (Pollino truffles, porcini mushrooms, Saracena olive oil). 06/10/2025: I returned with my wife from a 6.5-hour hike. They welcomed us and we ate well. The owners are truly wonderful people. Fantastic location. We'll be back.

20/08/2025: An unexpected discovery! Wonderful scenery and authentic nature. The cuisine was another great surprise: a starter beautiful to look at and spectacular to taste. A place that captivates you twice, with the eyes and the palate. Highly recommended!
