03/01/2026: Sorry, I don't like leaving bad reviews for restaurants, but honestly, my wife and I ate at a restaurant tonight. We were served gnocchi in old frying pans, and I had tagliatelle with canned tomato sauce—undercooked, tasteless, and the gnocchi were overcooked. It was beyond bland. We then ordered pizza, and to top it all off, the pizza was taken straight from the freezer and he added cheese on top. The owner was probably in a daze because he had a glass of alcohol in his hand; it probably wasn't his first of the day. He charged me €56.50. I refused, which is understandable, but he whispered, "€50 is fine." But when I do the math: pizza €18, tagliatelle €13, gnocchi €13, and a bottle of water... Do the math. And to top it all off, I see a €5 service charge on the bill! He told me it was the first time he'd ever heard of such a charge, and yet I've been to countless restaurants in Venice... Very bad experience and a bad establishment. Avoid it.

08/12/2025: We booked on-site for three adults and a child on Saturday afternoon for the same day. Luckily, there was karaoke. It was a wonderful evening, even though the tables were separated, it felt like we were eating with family. The food was delicious; the child's pasta wasn't included in the bill. The cured meats were sourced from local producers. With two starters, a main course, desserts, and a spritz, the average was €30 per person, excluding the child. After three days of Venice and mxxxx's Spitz, we found a place that knows what it's doing. The owners are fabulous and very friendly. I recommend anyone visiting Venice to stop in Mestre and spend at least one evening there. My family and I definitely found the karaoke evening to be a highlight, but I think it's no less enjoyable on other days.
