30/11/2025: Always impeccable, but honestly, they've gotten a bit too expensive, so we go less often.
But it's one of the few restaurants that LUCKILY doesn't allow smelly dogs.
20/11/2025: Sadly, I have to say that this place, which we used to go to every now and then, has lost a lot of its appeal. Prices have skyrocketed, portions are small, and especially if you order the grill for two or three (in my case with a friend of mine, which I probably didn't even like), they put the meat on a single grill and the side dish for one, not two. I don't think we'll be back...

14/10/2025: We had a great time on Sunday, October 12th, celebrating our birthday. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by this establishment, perfect for lunches and dinners with friends. The cured meats with pinzini and piadina were delicious, as was the Ferrarese tradition of caplaz, grilled meat left over from when we were full. I hope to return soon, guys.

Right, the cured meats, pinzino, and piada were tasty and good.
The fact remains that cappellacci, if they only taste of nutmeg and don't taste of pumpkin, are terrible cappellacci.
As for the tagliata, I'm not criticizing the well-done ones to satisfy all tastes, but I reiterate that the meat, depending on the degree of doneness, needs to be cooked properly, and the one served "rare" was without the maillard and therefore as if it were boiled.
The fact remains that €40 (I had omitted the price out of habit) for what we ate and its relative quality, in my opinion, is too much.
We went to this place for a friends' party.
I have a lot of experience, but I think I've rarely eaten such a bad meal, in my opinion.
We started with a savory aperitif, which was actually well-packaged and delicious.
Then at least two hours passed before the first course, consisting of cappellacci with ragout and butter and sage: the cappellacci were truly awful, so much so that you couldn't taste the pumpkin, completely covered in the nutmeg flavor (perhaps not a coincidence), the ragout was completely tasteless, and the ones with butter and sage... well, those weren't even seen or tasted because they were declared sold out.
Then the meat arrived: regular grilled coppa and beef tagliata, which actually tasted good, but either completely overcooked or undercooked but lacking the "Maillard" flavor, so boiled.
The vegetables? They served so-called spinach that had nothing to do with spinach: tough, practically just stems and tasteless.
The "house" red wine was horrible, truly undrinkable, so much so that it was left at all the tables; we swapped it for a bottle of ripasso (this time it was good).
And all this for a truly excessive price!
Personally, never again.

25/11/2025: The place is a bit difficult to find, inside a dimly lit courtyard. I only ate one dish, the portion was just right, tasty and well cooked. I recommend it.
19/10/2025: In a hidden but charming location, this restaurant offers good food and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

29/11/2025: I spent almost €12 in total for a dessert and a water.
I ordered an apple pie; desserts weren't available on the paper menu, so I scanned the QR code at the bottom right of the first page of the menu. The selection wasn't extensive, but on the online menu the price was €4.90. My dessert arrived with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, which I hadn't requested but was appreciated. It's a shame that adding the unsolicited scoop costs an additional €1.40; this cost isn't written or specified anywhere. I don't find it fair at all. Furthermore, even though I hadn't eaten dinner, I was charged a €2.50 cover charge. It's starting to get quite expensive if you decide to just order dessert, with all these "hidden" costs.

WE ATE THE MENU OF THE DAY ON FRIDAY FOR 15 EUROS.
RED FISH RISOTTO INSEDIBLE, JUST ENOUGH CUTTLEFISH AND PEAS, INDUSTRIAL FERRARA BREAD.
IT'S DEFINITELY A PLACE TO TRY EEL AND GRILLED MEAT.
26/10/2025: Raw fish, nonexistent service (I asked for bread three times, but it never arrived), and a staggering bill for a starter and a second course that were certainly not of the highest quality. Avoid this place.

29/08/2024: Sconsigliatissimo e incommentabile dal servizio, piatti e il conto... e con 34 gradi finestre aperte senza il refrigerio di un condizionatore o pale per muovere un minimo di aria. Finestra aperta che appoggiava sulla mia testa... speso un rene per essere presa in giro
21/08/2024: Locale già conosciuto in varie occasioni, siamo ritornati per una costata alla brace, nell'attesa della cottura abbiamo gustato un tagliere di salumi con i pinzini (però i pinzini erano cotti non come piace a me, li preferisco morbidi e gonfi): Il servizio del taglio e disosso carne è preciso e viene posata in centro tavola con cortesia, abbiamo preso un contorno di patate al forno e verdure alla griglia, bevuto una bottiglia di lambrusco amabile e chiuso con un buon dolce al cucchiaio. Alla prossima!
