20/12/2025: In two weeks, two dinners, one with friends and one with my life partner; there's a reason, and I'll tell you. The atmosphere is deliberately simple, like the typical trattorias you find in Emilia-Romagna: clean and comfortable, you feel right at home. The service is discreet, always present at the change of courses, and full of suggestions. The food is a wide selection, including typical Ferrarese dishes and expertly blended with the surrounding area. To date, I've tasted, first, Ferrarese salami pie, chef's grill, second, Ferrarese pasticcio with truffle, and "vellutata" (velvety) polenta with salami... well, gentlemen, I absolutely must return for a round of just the latter, Her Majesty the Polenta, soft and velvety, paired with a variety of toppings... I'll try them all soon. See you soon.
09/12/2025: Compliments to the chef and all his staff, who were friendly and provided a wonderful welcome, just like home.
Excellent, well-prepared food, high quality.

27/12/2025: The pizza is excellent, both in terms of dough and toppings. The atmosphere is casual, but the staff is extremely attentive to customer requests. On the way out, we saw some very interesting meat dishes—definitely worth trying again!

17/12/2025: I discovered this place during a company dinner. The organization was good, with reasonable wait times, despite the restaurant being full. The service was courteous and helpful despite several requests from our guests. The pre-defined, typically Emilian menu was appreciated. Classic first courses were followed by a grilled meat that many said was well-done, with just the right amount of tenderness. The appetizer of mixed cured meats was highly appreciated, along with small fried pinzini, and to finish, the classic zuppa inglese with traditional colors. The drinks were more than satisfactory. A somewhat secluded location that offers the opportunity for excellent convivial moments in a quiet atmosphere.
10/12/2025: Very informal place, yet welcoming, good food, price not too in line with other places in the area, overall we can definitely return again, perhaps in the warmer seasons the outside area offers much more which is very beautiful

I recommend reading the other reviews on Tripadvisor.
I visited this restaurant with my family and had a negative experience in several respects.
From the moment we arrived, we sensed an unwelcoming attitude from the owner and staff.
Despite the restaurant being half-empty, we were seated in a secluded side room. As time went by, several issues emerged: a visible mousetrap, mold, dust, and a general lack of cleanliness, probably initially hidden due to the poor lighting.
The service was disorganized: plates, cutlery, and glasses were left on the table without any indication, so much so that we had to manage them ourselves.
With other guests arriving, we asked for the menu so we could order before the kitchen closed. The menus arrived after about 20 minutes, and we were informed that we could only order appetizers. We accepted.
Subsequently, the music was turned up so loud that it made conversation at the table difficult. The food was not of adequate quality, and the overall experience was disappointing.
Afterward, following a misunderstanding, the owner reacted in a very agitated and unprofessional manner, creating an unpleasant and tense situation that ruined the afternoon.
I should point out that the bill was duly paid, despite not experiencing the quality, respect, and serenity expected from a restaurant open to the public.
24/01/2026: You'll feel right at home in this rustic-chic country farmhouse! Lots of wild animals to see. Perfect for birthday parties or gatherings with friends. Generous portions.

04/01/2026: I share my experience with the order with just eat at roadhouse, we order for three people, I receive the order at home for 2 people, I call inside and am told that they can't do anything to give me the food I had ordered.
26/12/2025: It's unprofessional to lose a reservation for six people, especially after asking the customer to respect their time, but you were able to make up for it by immediately giving us a comfortable table and serving us promptly. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.

06/01/2026: We're two young people who happened upon this restaurant during a very brief stop in Ferrara on our way back to Rome, and we were thrilled.
The place looks very nice: the rooms are furnished simply and coherently, leaving the building's history intact.
The service was excellent: the woman who, I believe, is the owner was always available and extremely focused on her work. The wait times are just right: everyone should be satisfied, and for good things you have to wait a little longer.
We wanted to try the typical flavors of your tradition before returning home, and we had a great experience.
If we had the chance, we would gladly return.
PS: I tried snails for the first time at your restaurant and fell in love! ❤️

29/08/2024: Sconsigliatissimo e incommentabile dal servizio, piatti e il conto... e con 34 gradi finestre aperte senza il refrigerio di un condizionatore o pale per muovere un minimo di aria. Finestra aperta che appoggiava sulla mia testa... speso un rene per essere presa in giro
21/08/2024: Locale già conosciuto in varie occasioni, siamo ritornati per una costata alla brace, nell'attesa della cottura abbiamo gustato un tagliere di salumi con i pinzini (però i pinzini erano cotti non come piace a me, li preferisco morbidi e gonfi): Il servizio del taglio e disosso carne è preciso e viene posata in centro tavola con cortesia, abbiamo preso un contorno di patate al forno e verdure alla griglia, bevuto una bottiglia di lambrusco amabile e chiuso con un buon dolce al cucchiaio. Alla prossima!
