Possibility of fixed price lunch (including pizza), piadinas, sandwiches, stuffed savory croissants, excellent wines (worth mentioning is the Rosé from the Righetti winery in Valeggio sul Mincio) and even quality beer, making it a place to be recommended for a stopover for lunch or for an aperitif or for a coffee at the counter. Pleasant atmosphere and welcoming smiles complete the satisfaction.

08/03/2024: Il ristorante e pizzeria Olivo ha una vista privilegiata sulla splendida Arena e dispone di un'ampia sala interna e di numerosi posti all'esterno. Il menù è molto ricco, quello delle pizze propone non solo l'impasto tradizionale, ma anche quello al farro. Inoltre, cosa mai vista da parte mia, sono suggeriti abbinamenti tra pizza e vino, una idea originale! Io scelgo una siciliana con mozzarella di bufala e melanzane fritte, mentre la mia fidanzata opta per una con burrata e prosciutto crudo di Montagnana DOP. Entrambe le pizze sono cotte molto bene, la crosta è abbastanza spessa e soffice e gli ingredienti utilizzati sono di qualità. Ottimo il prosciutto, l'abbinamento con la burrata è azzeccato. Le melanzane danno quel tocco di sapidità in più in bocca e, a nostro parere, rendono questa pizza la migliore delle due. Voglio sottolineare che la qualità degli ingredienti si vede anche dopo il pasto, quando si digerisce: nessuno di noi due si è svegliato durante la notte con molta sete o con gonfiori addominali, questo è sempre un ottimo segnale. Per quanto riguarda i prezzi, certamente il fatto di poter pranzare o cenare in un luogo privilegiato come Piazza Bra ha un costo superiore a quello di altri locali: mediamente le pizze proposte da Olivo si attestano sui 10-11 euro. Le nostre sono costate 12 e 12,50, in ogni caso ben spesi, a nostro avviso. Assolutamente consigliato se volete mangiare una buonissima pizza senza spostarvi dal centro storico.

03/04/2024: My wife, daughter, and I came here almost every morning while we were in Verona. All the brioches were excellent. My wife ate the Vegan brioche which was great too. The Maritozzi was the best I had and the Krapfen was also the best we had. The spremuta was always delicious, as well as the cafe. The atmosphere was always inviting and very friendly even with our 1 year old daughter 😂. We can’t wait to come back when we are in Verona!

17/03/2024: We are on the second round of coffee and breads. The croissants are crazy, fresh and delicious. The coffees are very good, but the tramezzino (crumb sandwiches) take all the prizes. Super friendly and fast service. Verona welcomed us with a smile :)

12/02/2024: Qualità cibo ottimo dal pane ai prodotti interni al panino. Birre artigianali di qualità e prezzi nella media. L'unico difetto,locale poco arieggiato e ventilato dagli odori della cucina, si esce un pó puzzolenti di fast food

02/01/2024: Localino molto carino e piccolo, la particolarità sono state tutte le piante verdi che danno "respiro", rispetto a volte al cemento, la ragazza che ci ha servito molto cordiale e gentile. Le lampade? Innamorata, un particolare molto semplice ma scelto con gusto. Qualità prezzo, eccezionale! In due abbiamo speso 43€, di solito quando mangio hamburger e patatine spesso mi sono sentita appesantita, invece non è successo. Continuate così!

01/04/2024: We had breakfast two mornings, excellent coffee and small pastries for only around €3 (tiramisu, fruit tart, sacher and zeppola). Since it was Easter/Easter Monday they were selling off the doves at half price so we bought one and were sure it would be delicious! 3 stars for the service because the ladies at the counter are not very friendly.

08/05/2024: Abbiamo trovato piatti sfiziosi e tradizionali. Servizio molto gentile nonostante l'orario a ridosso della chiusura. Piccola pasticceria del dessert deliziosa! Trattoria dal sapore vintage in una piccola via tranquilla con scorcio sull'arena.

05/05/2024: Die Bewertung von uriskman (s. unten) ist absolut akkurat. Sehr enttäuschend. Angeblich haben andere Besitzer das Restaurant übernommen seitdem die vielen Michelin-Auszeichnungen verdient wurden.

02/04/2024: A TAKE We ordered, well in advance, a gastronomic panettone. When we collected it, it was pointed out to us that it was 42 sandwiches (for the modest sum of 42.00 euros) In theory, seven layers, each different from the other. In reality only one layer with tuna and one with salami... for the rest all ham and cheese (also of very poor quality) VER GO GNO YES A big disappointment besides the fact that they made me look bad. As far as I'm concerned, I will never set foot again, not even for a coffee.. From my side they will always and only have negative publicity.
