Castagneto
Arona
18/05/2026: Very nice location, with high quality service, amazing “down to earth food paired with creativity” and a great wine selection - big compliments! In summer the beautiful terrace is a big plus 🤩
13/05/2026: This restaurant has that special something in the hinterland; it deserves the awards it has received.

Pasticceria Marietta
Arona
07/06/2026: Finally, a gluten-free place with a wide selection every day, excellent pastries. Great professionalism and customer service.
30/05/2026: Marietta Pastry Shop is gluten-free heaven, a delight for the palate.
The tables are cleaned as soon as customers leave, so you won't find crumbs everywhere like at other places.
Another plus: they've extended the smoking ban outside.
You can enjoy a quiet breakfast or snack on the veranda.
Definitely worth a try! :)

Corte della Rocchetta
Arona
11/07/2026: located in the Rocca di Arona park, wonderful view of the city and the lake
10/07/2026: Simply wonderful. The reservation went perfectly, even though I only understand a few words of Italian. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, despite the restaurant being very busy.
I don't understand the negative reviews. When I spend my vacation here with my family and I can communicate with the locals, everything is perfect. For us, it was a lovely evening. Thanks, says Christian (without 'Ronaldo').

La Pecora Nera
Arona
30/06/2026: The location is lovely, the place is very youthful, and there are even TVs outside for watching sports... Alas, seeing the place, I expected great cocktails, but instead we all had different cocktails, but they all tasted the same. Plus, the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks weren't much different...
The waitress was very friendly...
25/02/2026: The La Pecora Nera bar in Arona is a truly delightful spot for an aperitivo, offering space suitable for both a couple and larger groups of 6 or 7. A definite plus is the outdoor terrace: it's well-sheltered, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors even if the weather isn't great or if it's a bit windy.
The menu is varied, ranging from a good selection of cocktails to hot drinks, covering just about every need. However, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. Prices are a bit above average, especially when compared to what's actually served during the aperitivo.
Additionally, a detail that can be quite inconvenient is the inability to keep separate bills. For larger groups, this policy becomes a small inconvenience, as it forces friends to split the cash or make instant bank transfers, creating an inconvenience that could easily be avoided. Overall it's a nice place, but you have to go there knowing how the payment process works.
