09/06/2025: We were delighted to have come to this restaurant, recommended by Le ROUTARD.
You have to look for it; it's in a small alleyway off Piazza Ragazzoni, but it's worth the effort.
We chose typical Italian specialties, and it's a real treat for the taste buds.
Taglionni and a risotto with subtle flavors.
And to finish, a revisited tiramisu, captivatingly light and refined.
All this with impeccable service, very classy, respectful, and attentive.
We recommend it without reservation.
If you're looking for a good restaurant, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, this is the place to go.

18/01/2025: The two stars are for the morning service because in the evening I have always found myself well, both in terms of service and quality of the products.
I went in in the morning for a coffee, I understand the confusion of the moment but not a greeting, in fact I was totally ignored and after waiting a long time people who arrived after me were served. I left because I find such rudeness and discourtesy towards customers unacceptable.
If I go back it will only be in the evening.

It's a shame because as a pastry shop and cafe it would also deserve it.

02/07/2025: Fabulous spot for lunch. Sat in the alleyway looking out to the lake. Excellent sharing cheese and meat platter to start. Both the ravioli and beef and pollenta mains were superb. If we come back to Orta we will come back and find this place for another meal. With a bottle of wine and a coffee, great value as well.
18/06/2025: Très bon repas dans le calme. On s'est régalé du début à la fin. Planche mixte délicieuse en entrée, pizza et plat parfait.

25/04/2025: Disappointing visit – never again!
Today I visited this place and unfortunately I was disappointed across the board. The tables were full of dirty plates and glasses that had evidently not been cleaned in a while. I had to clear my table myself so I could sit down – totally unacceptable.
After finally placing my order, the waitress returned about 20 minutes later only to tell me that the salad was out. I then tried to order a hamburger, but that wasn't available either. I ended up getting a sandwich that was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price.
The visit to the bathroom was the icing on the cake (in a bad way): the bathroom door on the right didn't close because it was warped. Both bathrooms were very dirty and there wasn't even paper to dry your hands - just disgusting.
Conclusion: I will never set foot in this place again. A real shame about the time and money wasted.

Chiedo un caffè al banco da portare via.
Uno dei due baristi mi risponde convinto: “abbiamo già spento la macchinetta”.
Peccato, all’esterno tutti consumavano caffè seduti e, ancor più grave, la macchinetta del caffè alle spalle del barista era visibilmente accesa.
Quando ho risposto che la macchinetta era funzionante , nessuno dei due ha proferito parola
Riassunto: Poco furbi e molto sgarbati.
A mai più.
16/12/2024: Sabato pomeriggio, dopo le 17, chiediamo se è possibile far aperitivo mangiando qualcosa. Ci dicono che è presto, decidiamo di sederci e prendere solo da bere, nel locale c'erano solo altri due tavolini occupati. Dopo 10' arriva da bere con il surplus dell'aperitivo perchè pensavano volessimo comunque farlo, ma ci tocca aspettare altri 10' perchè dalla cucina arrivi qualcosa.
Siamo rimasti un'oretta, ci han portato un tagliere con uno stuzzichino a testa, in totale 4 pezzetti a testa. Abbiamo riordinato da bere, ma non ci hanno portato nient'altro, in compenso ai tavoli a fianco arrivavano taglieri che erano il doppio del nostro.

08/10/2024: Il locale si trova in una location estremamente gradevole. I boschi ed i prati che lo circondano infondono un'idea di pace.
Internamente il ristorante è rustico , pulito ed in ordine.
I piatti ordinati sono curati, buoni ed abbondanti. Sia chiaro che il tutto si paga.
Unico piccolo neo in questa immagine idilliaca qualche mozzicone sparso qua e là nel prato di proprietà. Dimenticavo....personale di una cortesia eccezionale!
