17/02/2026: I went in for a coffee and I saw some pastries. I took a good one, but unfortunately the lady told me it was jam-filled but it was lemon cream and it has nothing to do with coffee, but I liked it and the lady is very friendly and easy-going.

02/05/2026: I had the pleasure of visiting L’Angolo delle Delizie bakery and pastry shop in Novara, at Via Battistini 19, and I was truly satisfied. The owner, Giovanni, is an extremely kind person who makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, and you can sense the passion he puts into his work. He was very attentive, letting us taste various products: from cheeses to desserts, such as the treccia and ricotta ravioli, all truly delicious. A special thanks also to his wife, always smiling and friendly behind the counter, welcoming every customer with great kindness. I will definitely return, not only for the quality of the products, but also for the wonderful hospitality that makes this place truly special.

28/03/2026: Truly fantastic, everything was good. The staff were very welcoming, the proletariat was very kind and competent. The only flaw was that the prices could be lowered a bit. Otherwise, everything was fantastic.

24/04/2026: Who would have ever imagined finding a pastry shop in a small town? Frankly, I never would have thought it. But here it is, in all its splendor in the center of a truly unique village where time has stood still. Well, allow me to say, it's only right here to pause your time with a sweet stop, perhaps on your way back from Malpensa airport, as I often do for work. Outstanding desserts, a display case full of cakes—you know those beautiful "tall" ones you only see in comics? They actually make them here, and they're exceptional! If you have time, there's a very welcoming outdoor area, away from the chaos. So, what can I say? Nothing but stopping here and being sweetly reborn... 9 out of 10.

29/11/2025: It's our favorite place for breakfast and aperitivo. The staff is always friendly and smiling, which is helpful for those of us who have family and friends far away. We've discovered Luca's extreme kindness, a discreet and attentive young man. His popcorn with a "secret" ingredient is unparalleled in its deliciousness, and the genius of Luca's idea is worthy of our attention. Kudos to the entire staff. Highly recommended.

13/02/2026: We found ourselves eating at this set menu bar/restaurant at lunchtime Monday through Friday while we were in the area. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and the price was excellent. Since it was Friday, they even offered dessert for two, including a first course, second course, side dish, dessert, water, and coffee for a total of €30.

06/01/2026: *DISHONEST*: 01/06/26. Invited by a fisherman friend, I paid 60 euros for 4 hours for the fisherman, 2 hours for me, a card for the friend, and entry with a car. Rightly so, the man didn't give me the card because I wouldn't have gone any other times! When I left, a lady "forced" me to get the card. After 2 hours, my friend came out and charged him 6 euros for my card!! *SHAMEFUL*.... But in a few days I'll go back to talk face to face!! They'll have to explain to me why I didn't need to get a card for a single entry at the entrance, and when I left they forced my friend to pay 6 euros for my card!!

23/12/2025: Unfortunately, it seems a bit risky to call it a pastry shop. The cappuccino was awful. I ordered an espresso to see the quality of the coffee, and despite having a "Space" machine, the coffee wasn't up to par. The croissants, if they were made by them, were of poor quality. I'm sorry, but I can't give a positive review. My sister ordered a ginseng, and that wasn't great either.

29/11/2025: I went on a Saturday morning because unfortunately, when I'm there, they're closed on Sundays. There's parking in front of the shop. The interior is bright and pleasantly decorated, with a beautiful display of pastries on the right. They also sell jams and biscuits from small producers, as well as some industrial confectionery. At the back of the shop, there are also some tables for breakfast. The cappuccino is good, and the croissants are exquisitely crisp. I'd just add more cream/chocolate filling.

25/02/2026: The La Pecora Nera bar in Arona is a truly delightful spot for an aperitivo, offering space suitable for both a couple and larger groups of 6 or 7. A definite plus is the outdoor terrace: it's well-sheltered, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors even if the weather isn't great or if it's a bit windy. The menu is varied, ranging from a good selection of cocktails to hot drinks, covering just about every need. However, there are a couple of aspects that could be improved. Prices are a bit above average, especially when compared to what's actually served during the aperitivo. Additionally, a detail that can be quite inconvenient is the inability to keep separate bills. For larger groups, this policy becomes a small inconvenience, as it forces friends to split the cash or make instant bank transfers, creating an inconvenience that could easily be avoided. Overall it's a nice place, but you have to go there knowing how the payment process works.

16/02/2026: A really nice and welcoming pub with live music (I went on a Sunday). Prices are absolutely reasonable, and the aperitifs are excellent. I recommend it, especially to young people.

06/05/2026: Pizzoccheri alla Valtellinese – good, under-seasoned, lacking sage. A modest portion. Shank with baked potatoes – tasted like pork, but differed significantly in size. Served Italian-style, without the burnt skin, but still delicious. Very good desserts: lemon tart and a delicious dark chocolate soufflé.
