15/06/2024: In questo albergo ristorante abbiamo pranzato con nostri cugini. Non possiamo che confermare le ottime recensioni. Arrivati con leggero ritardo all'ora della prenotazione siamo stati accolti dal gentilissimo personale di sala ed invitati ad un spaziosissimo tavolo alla sala superiore. Abbiamo scelto una monferrina, un plin alla crema di parmigiano e tiramisù per la bambina e 2 menù fritto misto e 2 menù fuori porta accompagnati da un buon prosecco della fornita carta dei vini Tutto buonissimo ed abbondante con servizio attento e in tempi corretti. Hanno anche avuto una particolare attenzione alle allergie alimentari di mia moglie.Conto adeguato alla alta qualità del menù e del servizio. Contiamo di ritornare nuovamente.

We were warmly welcomed by Ronald and Ivana and spent a few wonderful days in Cascina Dani. The rooms are spacious, very well maintained, clean, and the garden is wonderfully relaxing. The hosts take care of the guests' well-being warmly and personally. We were also provided with very good tips for excursions... so we felt completely at home and would love to come back!

17/03/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante in dietro dalla settimana bianca e devo dire che è molto curato e il personale è gentile preparato e attento veloce e preciso nel servizio e con un occhio attento per i più piccoli .
Plin buonissimi buona la carta dei vini e anche quello al calice,filetto di maialino da provare e dolci fatti in casa come quelli della nonna .molto soddisfatto anche del conto :3antipasti ,1 primo ,1 secondo ,1dolce e 2 calici di vino 52 euro .

31/07/2024: As a true Asti native and manager of a catering club, I had been meaning to experiment with the cuisine of this place for some time, attracted above all by the delights of fresh pasta.
The welcome given to us by the owner was immediately very professional, but her friendly helpfulness soon took over.
The selection of starters, not infinite but adequate for a summer lunch, made me lean towards a trio of stuffed courgette flowers (exceptional!), peppers with anchovies and green sauce (very delicate so as not to overshadow the pepper) and salad with beans-cherry tomatoes-sarzet-olives, some julienne of carrot and celeriac and strips of bacon (a riot of flavours, fresh and well balanced).
The tajarin with sausage and diced gorgonzola proved to live up to expectations!
For dessert the proposals are traditional: bunet (good and well made), panna cotta (honest, perhaps with a slightly bland caramel) and finally an excellent tiramisu (really recommended). (Sweets shared with the other guests)
In short, one of the best places in the historic center for informal occasions.
Excellent value for money:
Trio of appetizers, a first course, a dessert, cover charge, water and coffee for €25
... it's a shame that the sultry Asti summer leads to teetotalism.

11/07/2024: About two weeks ago we tried profiteroles. Excellent for raw materials, technique and pleasure on the palate!!! The only flaw is calculating 3 cream puffs each...at least 5 per person are a must :p Thanks and good luck

14/04/2024: This is truly a gem of a restaurant. The owner and his wife are very friendly and will not hesitate to explain the dishes on the menu and recommend some glorious wines with their food. The food is all locally sourced. The lard and the pork belly marinated with acacia honey and Arneis were home made. The pork meat came from a pig that the owner personally chose for slaughter. That's my kind of restaurant. The wines were also local and very good. The owner let me try some different wines and took great care in explaining them to me.
We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace in the bustling city of Asti, but it is also nice sitting inside, if the weather is not that good.
Highly recommended.

03/08/2024: Unsatisfied! I would give 0 but it's not possible. Cake booked 4 days before, I arrive and it's not there, he tells me: I have the bases (so the cake wasn't there!), you'll be back in half an hour, after an unpleasant negotiation about when... I'll be back later, unfortunately the withdrawal, cream and cream are soft and disassembled, placed on top of 2 numbers of heavy chocolate not requested, never again! Ruined my birthday and a terrible impression with my guests, all for "only" 37 euros.
30/07/2024: Excellent pastry shop in Asti that uses truly top raw materials. The owner is kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

30/04/2024: Scoperto così per caso, aperitivo con una collega che ci era già stata a cui era piaciuto molto.
La scelta è stata facile per festeggiare il compleanno di mio marito con gli amici più stretti.
Come essere in famiglia!!!!
Se ci ritornerei.?...Anche subito! abbondanza e cordialità rendono l'atmosfera del Cappelaio Matto Caffè incantevole.
