02/04/2024: No surprises... arrived under the recommendation of trusted friends, the restaurant met every rosy expectation, excellence of taste, cuts of meat, cooking, quality of service. From today it becomes an obligatory stop for future stays in the splendid setting of Fiuggi. Great chef Alessandro and super Eddy!!!

31/03/2024: All perfect! Excellent Easter lunch. The specialty of this restaurant is barbecue but it doesn't joke about the rest either. Rich and good starter, very soft and tasty pork cheek. Friendly and precise service, very nice and well-kept place. I would say the price is right.

16/04/2024: A very atmospheric place, the owner is a very kind and soulful person. The most delicious cuisine in this town - pizza, pasta, desserts. Very tasty! I recommend visiting!

24/02/2024: Buonissimo !!! Abbiamo ordinato due pizze di cui una l'abbiamo un po' modificata. Entrambe ottime, come anche il dolce (semifreddo al Bayliss). Ci hanno consigliato anche una ottima birra. Consigliatissimo!!! Prezzi onestissimi!!

31/03/2024: Extremely slow service (3 hours for 4 starters, 2 first courses and 5 second courses). Dessert and coffee not received. Rude and careless waiters, evidently not in the profession.

22/03/2024: Nice place in a beautiful town Varallo. Excellent pizza and excellent wine. A little cold welcome but only because of the late hour. Thanks again

06/04/2024: for the first time this evening at Plinio's... the wait was amply rewarded. Excellent cuisine, good service, fair price and wise management of the restaurant by Plinio. The two of us ate an excellent seafood starter (5/6 hot and cold courses) of excellent workmanship and excellent quality, four second courses: sliced ​​calamari, a crazy sea bass in clam ragout, fried calamari and raw scampi, all washed down with a excellent müller turgau. To finish crumbled and an excellent chocolate cake. VERY GOOD EVENING....TO BE REPEATED...CONGRATULATIONS TO PLINIO AND HIS STAFF...

01/04/2024: Recommended by a family member, I went to try it. There are two rooms and I ate in the smallest one where there is an internal cave. The digital menu was not shown to us immediately and so we requested it. Snails appeared in the mixed hot-cold appetizer, but my guest and I didn't like them, so we would have liked to know beforehand so as not to waste them because we don't normally eat them. Starter still good, wine (Ribolla Gialla) also, pleasant first course, only flaw: a little sand left in the clams which evidently were not cleaned well because they crunched in the mouth when chewing and this was not very pleasant on the palate, but taste and good products. We had the table for just over 1 hour not having booked and finally the staff offered me a bitter that I didn't know and which I really appreciated: ratafià. When I returned home a few days later I bought it too :-) thanks anyway for the experience. If I come back, I'll book and I'd like to sit in the other room :-) cleaning of the clams needs improvement, but it may have been a coincidence.

19/03/2024: I bought some San Giuseppe zeppole for Father's Day this evening. The pastas were frozen even though we consumed them three hours after purchasing them and keeping them out of the refrigerator. The cream filling was very poor, as well as solid and tasteless. Truly inedible. I've never eaten worse pasta. If I had bought them at the supermarket I would have looked better

16/01/2024: After having had ice cream several times I realized that if you make it for €2 or €3 or €5 the ice cream on the cone is always the same quantity. You are frankly tired. Either you teach your employees what quantities to put in or you screw up and are just money hungry. I attach a photo of a €3 cone At the meringue in Ripi with THREE EUROS they fill your car with ice cream here you need a magnifying glass to see it

25/03/2024: After the first two positive experiences, the third time I was so disappointed that I won't go back again. Simply out of 7 sandwiches, there wasn't one that wasn't burnt, both the bread and the meat. Personally, if I burn the meat, I would avoid giving it to the customer... In response to the owner: before reviewing I try to go to a place several times. You're absolutely right that I had to tell him at the time, I didn't (and I apologize because I should have said it anyway) because we realized halfway through the sandwich that one of the sides was burnt and a) we couldn't wait we would have managed to eat another whole sandwich b) it really bothers us to waste food and we decided to finish the sandwich anyway. Of course everyone makes mistakes, but you will agree with me that burnt food should not be served regardless.

16/03/2024: Servizio scadente e deludente. Troppo tempo di attesa tra una portata e l’altra, ci siamo accomodati alle 13.30 e siamo usciti alle 16 per un antipasto e un primo. Conto salato e decisamente sproporzionato rispetto a quello che abbiamo mangiato, come abbiamo mangiato e i tempi di attesa. I camerieri, forse due, decisamente in affanno e poco organizzati per gestire i pochi tavoli del locale. Non lo consiglio e sicuramente non ci torneremo. Peccato perché il locale è bello, ben curato, c’è facilità di parcheggio insomma tanti pro.
