13/01/2026: What distinguishes Acquadolce is the clarity of its culinary thinking. The menu is structured around four distinct identities: Lago, Mare, Valli, and Giardino, offering a precise and intelligent way of understanding territory, seasons, and intentions. Each menu feels internally coherent rather than thematic. The Lago dishes express restraint and depth, with flavours that are measured and quietly confident. Mare is handled with precision, favouring balance over intensity, while Valli introduces a richer, more grounded register without heaviness. Giardino, often the most revealing test of a kitchen, is thoughtful and complete, never treated as a secondary option. Across all paths, the cooking shows discipline and judgement. Ingredients are respected, combinations are purposeful, and nothing feels decorative or excessive. The pacing of the meal is unhurried and well considered, allowing the experience to unfold naturally. Service is discreet, attentive, and calm, contributing to an atmosphere that feels more composed than orchestrated. The wine pairings are intelligent and well aligned with each menu’s character, supporting the food rather than competing with it. Acquadolce is a restaurant that knows exactly what it wants to say and says it with consistency and ease. A place is defined by structure, balance, and quiet confidence. The restaurant leaves one with a genuine sense of well-being.
01/01/2026: Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. It took us about two and a half hours to finish an appetizer and a first course, despite the fact that there were only us and one other table in the dining room. It was a truly difficult wait to justify. The risotto was tasty, but unfortunately, it arrived lukewarm, a significant detail in a dish of this type. The espresso was also served lukewarm and tasted more like a Nespresso machine than the kind you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. A particularly negative note was the welcome glass: presented as a gesture of courtesy, it turned out to be a 15-euro charge, a decidedly bitter and inelegant surprise. There was also little attention paid to allergens and intolerances, an aspect that should be essential these days. The service, while friendly, clearly seemed unorganized and unprofessional. From a restaurant in a location like Lake Como, and especially given the final bill, one expects much more. Unfortunately, this is yet another disappointment in an area that often focuses on the view, forgetting what should really make the difference: quality, care, and professionalism.

25/02/2025: One of the best hotels ever! There are so many things to say, but one stands out: the owner, Mr. Fioroni. A man who will make your stay unforgettable. An artist, musician, writer, an invaluable figure, a historic figure in this delightful village, and, in short, a friend to every guest. A unique, incomparable experience that will allow you to discover true Italian culture, made of stories, music, and good food. The historic venue is beautifully enhanced by the small piazza and the sweeping view of the lake. Just a few meters away, every service and fair prices.
