The food is simply delicious! Very tasty food, very good quality, friendly service and an authentically beautiful ambience with a great view or a cozy lounge. Simply recommended. And child-friendly too!

A hospitable place located at around 1100 m altitude. Easily accessible by hike from the direction of Meran or on the path between Taser-Alm and Schenna. We could really enjoy the peace, the good food and delicious homemade lemonades with a view of the Merano valley basin and the Texel group. A path that is definitely worth it.

Original South Tyrolean cuisine, very tasty, since everything is freshly prepared by Mrs. Marta, you wait a little longer than elsewhere, but it's worth the wait!

Nice and fine place. It's always a pleasure to take a break at the Zmailer Hof. Great food. Great staff. Great view. What more could you want? Will definitely come again. 😉

08/01/2025: Excellent campsite, fully equipped, free dishwasher, free chemical toilet emptying with automatic machine, very hot and spotless bathrooms... heated swimming pool and small spa, free bus pass (and more) nearby, truly top kindness and courtesy!

31/10/2024: During the Pentecost holidays we hosted four people and paid 150 euros for a “solid” meal. Vegetarian dishes were reduced to a minimum. The owner wooed us in the most charming style - until it came to the espresso, which he charged us separately after such an invoice. True hospitality that was evident here in every drop of the fully acknowledged (but actually delicious) coffee! The ambience? Well, if you appreciate rustic charm, you'll get your money's worth - provided you like quaintness, especially when it comes to sanitary facilities. Our camping experience rounded off the stay: 15 euros for “free standing” in the apple orchard behind the restaurant, without any other service, which, according to the boss, was only payable in cash. Probably just an accidental little blackout that this small donation didn't show up on any receipts. Sarcasm aside - we weren't convinced.
