Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted unwelcome by a lady who, when we requested a table we'd previously reserved over the phone, exclaimed, "I don't have a table, wait there!" (all in Sicilian). Once we secured a table, the quality of service improved. We ordered a simple mixed fried dish and the traditional focaccia, which was very good. One downside was the large number of animals, given that we were sitting in the outdoor area.

The best focaccia in Messina, made by Uncle Billy.
Our experience was nothing short of positive. The choice of quality ingredients, the focaccia hot, crispy, and plentiful. Despite the crowds, Roberto's service was impeccable and fast. We'll definitely be back again.

Unfortunately, it's too crowded and the service can't keep up with the demands.

It's been over 20 years since I've been back to this restaurant, but I remember how great the service and the atmosphere were. One day I'll definitely go back, I'll go back with my grandmother.

After 30 years, I'm back for focaccia at Zio Billy, and I have to say the focaccia was excellent. We devoured 3 kg. I didn't remember the place being so big, with outdoor tables. The staff was very kind and helpful, even moving us from one table to another because we were with visually impaired people. To top it all off, the bill was ridiculously low, maybe 12 euros per person. These days, finding a cool, quiet, good, and affordable place is rare. I'll definitely be back.
