In Messina almost everyone knows how to make focaccia and honestly I expected something more from this well-known and renowned place.

Siamo tornati a distanza di qualche mese. Servizio celere (neanche 10' dalla comanda e sono arrivati gli antipasti e le bevande in tavola). La pizza è veramente buona: sottile, abbondante nei condimenti e digeribilissima. Molto ma molto soddisfatto.

Con i miei cognati Santo e Adriano, insieme a mia moglie Anna e all’amico Nicola, abbiamo gustato le famose focacce di zio Billy. La focaccia messinese mangiate stasera è veramente eccezionale. Ottimi anche gli spiedini con contorno di insalata.

The focaccia is excellent, I was just expecting the possibility of different options, but the only type is the traditional Messina one with or without anchovies. As an alternative to focaccia you can opt for pizzas.

Messina focaccia (or type) worth seeing again. In addition to the excellent wood-fired oven, the quality of the product is lacking (12 euros kg). Chips and 4 croquettes in a dessert plate 5 euros too much, you have to order more, at what price?? I'm giving 3 stars only because we didn't eat first and/or second courses and I can't rate them, even if the prices here are high compared to the portions described by the staff. I remember that years ago it was a totally different place, in every way (for the better of course). Never mind, they lost a customer and who knows how many others.

Under lemon trees, you eat the best focaccia ever for me. The other dishes are homemade and absolutely worth trying. Excellent quality/price ratio

I didn't find the quality of the focaccia exciting. We ordered trays with and without anchovy and there was practically no difference (all with anchovy). Of the 4 trays, the focaccia in the first two was cooked, the last ones arrived were undercooked, with raw dough in several parts. It's a shame because the environment is spartan, but nice. Maybe I'll try it again because it was a bad night.
