As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the owner with a friendly and professional manner. What struck us was the manager's enthusiasm in presenting the place and the dishes. We ordered two pizzas (Red P. and Norma), both well-prepared and topped with quality ingredients. I also asked for a glass of red wine and was offered an upgrade (Brunello 2018). We learned that they also organize tastings with pizza and wine pairings. The place isn't huge, but it's well-decorated and has well-distributed seating, located in the historic center. A place with a relaxed atmosphere, very pleasant waiters, and delicious food. The menu isn't extensive, but it doesn't need to be. They specialize in pizzas, and they're some of the most original I've seen, featuring quality ingredients and a blend of flavors you don't often see.

I visited Pizzeria Hortus on Via delle Seggiole in Florence and had a truly positive experience. The staff was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and always attentive to our needs, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The pizzas were delicious, made with fresh and distinctive ingredients that added an original and refined touch to the flavors. The environment was very private and intimate, perfect for a quiet dinner. Although the prices are rather high, I believe they are fully justified by the quality of the products and the excellent service received.

We booked through the fork so got a 50% discount. Delicious pizzas and good value for money with the discount. Full of locals and not too touristy.
I would Recommend the double fried pizza - we have never tried a pizza like this before it was such a unique dish!
However had to drop a star because the service was very slow and it was unbearably hot in there the air conditioning was poor!

Una delle pizze più buone che abbia mai mangiato nella mia vita. Sono stata recentemente anche a Napoli, ma difficilmente trovi una pizza gourmet come quella di Hortus. Speciale la montanara fiorentina!

Andiamo regolarmente da Hortus da un paio d'anni, e non deludono mai. Menu vario - da piatti di pesce a pizza - con la qualità degli ingredienti sublime. Altamente consigliato!
