Boy, does this place live up to the hype; some of the best food we’ve eaten in Italy. staff was charming and professional. I’ll dream about the Lasagna they had on special for a long time!

If you are coming to Modena, then make a booking for this diamond of an eatery, where the food, service and ambience was superb. If you don't book, you probably won't get in!

I went yesterday to eat with friends and we ate really well. I had the green ravioli and they were delicious, the staff was very very kind. I recommend it.

we had a great experience lunching here, especially because of the extraordinary service! they were fun and professional and enriched the dining experience.
i had one of the best wines of my life here— a lambrusco (see image) that was fruity, hints of raspberry, absolutely delicate and delicious.
my main, the balsamico braised pork was gorgeous and filling. a very smart way to use balsamico, i think. i tried my family’s dishes too and i would say the ragù is a standout, the best one i’ve had in italy. the rabbit dish was okay but the mince was a bit dry and pasta sauce not the most flavourful. the other slow-cooked meat dish, i’m sorry i forgot what it was called, was really good too! and the side salad was fresh :)
the dessert was so fun, a lambrusco mousse! it was light and had a good berry flavour. recommend for those who want something sweet and simple!
overall lovely! also i would advise to book a table a few days in advance as it gets busy, deservedly so :)

Absolutely fantastic. Managed to secure the last table on a busy Friday evening. Davide the owner was passionate and super knowledgeable. Exceptional Modenese cuisine, with excellent by the glass wine pairings from Davide. Fantastic value for money too. Without a doubt I'll be returning when I'm next in Modena.

Estaba emocionado de enganchar una mesa en este pequeño restaurante muy elogiado y estaba totalmente encantado por su comedor luminoso pero íntimo. Sin embargo, encontramos nuestra cena aquí para ser abrumador. Casi todos los platos, así como el pan era soso y aburrido. Quizás pedimos las cosas equivocadas, pero el tortellini en brodo es un clásico que, aunque está bien, carecía de profundidad de sabor. Nos fuimos sintiendo que podríamos haber tenido una mejor comida en muchos otros lugares cercanos.

We really wanted to visit this restaurant as it had so many good reviews. It was, however, impossible to get through on the phone to make a reservation. We turned up at opening on a Monday evening to it being fully booked but we managed to get a booking for the next night, however they’d need to table back by 9.
We arrived promptly, being the first ones there. I made a joke saying we wanted to make sure we had enough time to eat, the woman was not amused. We got the overall impression that we weren’t particularly welcome as we weren’t locals.
They had no English menus but that’s nothing a Google translate can’t solve. We had Tigella for starters, this was really good and enjoyed the lard pesto. However things went downhill with the main. I ordered the lasagna daily special. As soon as it was served, I knew it was warmed through. I cut it in half, and it was cold. The food was taken away and quickly slammed back down in front of me, having been nuked in the microwave. I don’t mind microwave lasagna at home, but in the home of lasagna?! It was disappointing, especially with the servers attitude.
Dessert was fine and the bill was very reasonable. However the cold lasagna and cold service just really put a damper on the evening. If you can’t get a reservation, I wouldn’t worry too much.
