We were lucky enough to get an early table for 9:00 PM so we could eat at this fantastic osteria. 😋 We had a truly wonderful time, the staff were friendly, and the typical Modenese cuisine was fabulous (to say the least). 🥰 Tortellini in brodo made with love, amazing lasagna, and generous fried gnocchetti and tigelle, to finish with the legendary zuppa inglese. I highly recommend it, thank you for giving us the opportunity to try your cuisine. 🤗

On one of my earlier trips to Modena I noticed this place. Thereafter, every time I passed by, lunch or dinner, there was a sign saying they were full. I went on line and read some reviews. I decided I had to try it. This time I stopped by before service and asked the host if she could find a table for me for any lunch or dinner until the day I was leaving. She found one spot. It was well worth the wait. I have eaten in many restaurants in Modena, and this ranks among my very favorite. My two regrets are that I was dining alone and could not try all of the dishes that I saw, and that I did not leave enough room for dessert. I had the cotechino with lentils and potato croquettes. The cotechino was excellent. It was moist and flavorful, and the letils were probably the best I've ever had. A very simple dish done perfectly. I then had the rosette for primi. The pasta was perfect, and there was almost too much ham and cheese within. Lastly, I had pork braised in sangiovese wine, served with potato pure. Another winner. Serena, the host who had found me a spot, was wonderful. She suggested the wines to accompany my courses. I left knowing why this little place is always full.

What more can we say to the already numerous positive reviews of this little osteria? We tried the tagliatelle meatballs with Parmesan fondue and white prosciutto ragù...divine! And then there were the classic tortellini in capon broth and the tagliatelle with ragù. Two timeless classics, impeccably crafted, bursting with flavor. In short, Zemiàn Piccola Osteria is worth a stop in Modena to savor the flavors and aromas of a cuisine rooted in tradition yet never shying away from experimentation.

It was my first time at this restaurant and I was thrilled! The atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously maintained, and the staff is friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. The menu offers a selection of dishes, including several typical Modenese dishes, prepared with fresh, top-quality ingredients. The off-menu options are also not to be missed. I particularly appreciated the presentation of the dishes and the prompt service, which always brought a smile to the face. The value for money is also excellent. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine yet refined culinary experience.

Another level - lasagna and English soup top

An intimate and well-organized place. The staff is friendly and conveys their love for the place. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. I would return to Modena just for a quick visit to eat here.

Sono rimasto davvero colpito da questo ristorante! Ogni portata è stata una scoperta di sapori e qualità. Ho iniziato con un antipasto semplicemente delizioso: ingredienti freschissimi, presentazione curata nei minimi dettagli e un equilibrio di gusti perfetto. Il primo piatto è stato il vero protagonista del pranzo: sapori intensi e genuini, cottura impeccabile e porzione più che soddisfacente. Si percepisce tutta la passione e la competenza del personale in cucina in ogni boccone! Per concludere in bellezza, il dolce è stato una coccola per il palato: delicato, ben bilanciato nei sapori e presentato in modo raffinato. Una vera esplosione di bontà! Il servizio è stato cortese, attento e mai invadente. L'atmosfera del locale è accogliente e curata. Consigliatissimo!!! Complimenti a tutto lo staff!
