It was a pleasant discovery! The place is very welcoming and with attention to every detail. Huge selection of wines. The menu is a combination of tradition and innovation. I really appreciated the quality of the raw materials! I'll be back soon.

The three of us had dinner. I kept getting errors when making reservations on the website, and even when I sent reservation inquiries to my email address, I didn't get a reply. I called during lunch hours and the owner answered the phone so I could make a reservation. Except for the four-person table by the window, all seats were narrow bar tables surrounding the kitchen in an L shape. Not long after we sat down, the owner came with a large menu and briefly explained each dish. I ordered peach pasta with ragu sauce, and my companions ordered ravioli with pear sauce and truffle spaghetti. He recommended a wine that best matched the taste of the dishes, so we each had a glass. The food was generous in quantity and very delicious. For Sekondi, we ordered traditional Florentine offal and beef stewed in tomato broth to share. I wanted to try stuffed and grilled rabbit meat, but my companions were very opposed to it, so I couldn't order it... It tasted really good, as expected. All three of us were so full that we didn't order dessert. With two bottles of water, three glasses of wine, and 1.5 euros per seat (reasonable!), it came out to about 120 euros. They said the menu changes periodically, but I highly recommend it to those who want to try Tuscan home cooking!

This is an honest review. To start with, the food here is absolutely amazing. I’ve been to many different countries and tried countless outstanding restaurants, yet their food still managed to surprise me. The restaurants in Florence’s city center are garbage compared to this one. You can see that from all the bad reviews on Google—none of them criticize the food; they just have issues with the service. However, the negative reviews are not entirely wrong. There is no time to look at the menu. The owner will bring a blackboard and explain it to you, and you have to choose immediately. Unless you speak Italian, it can be quite difficult to make a decision. I strongly recommend that they provide a paper menu with an English translation—it would make things much easier. Despite this, I still give this restaurant a 5-star review because the food is so good—amazing, exceptional. The truffle taglierini was okay—not bad, but not the best I’ve had in Florence. However, the other dishes were absolutely fantastic. The ragù spaghetti and pesto spaghetti were super delicious, and the noodles were perfectly al dente—chewy, not soft or lumpy. The main dishes were even better. The rabbit leg has to be the best I’ve ever had, you have to try it! and the beef tongue was exceptional, soft and juicy. The older Italian lady was very friendly; she always had a great smile. The prices are very reasonable. I’m from London, and if you wanted to go to a similar restaurant there, it would cost you at least three times as much.

It's not a Michelin star for nothing. Excellent, tasty and surprising food. Don't forget to check it out.

This was a different experience very small restaurant where the chef takes the order and suggests the wine. The food was just brilliant much better than other places in Florence at this price point. But I could understand some of the criticisms to the service as the menu is explained to you and you have to make the decision at the moment. For us was all great and we felt very comfortable totally worthy the experience will definitely eat there again. So if you have the chance go there

I’m from Florence, and this is one of the best restaurants in town. Tuscan traditional cuisine tends to be fatty, but they’ve achieved a perfect balance between lightness and tradition. And really don’t understand how some comments says that the service isn’t good, the owners are lovely! I absolutely loved it! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️

Optimal! I didn't know it, but I've finally found a refined (regional) cuisine that isn't ashamed of flavours. Here we go to the essentials, without decorations or frills, but with good quality raw materials and well made. Very particular layout of the room and pleasant aesthetics: everything revolves around the counter where a friendly and punctual service does its job well. Exemplary cleanliness. Also recommended for the price, in line with the environment.

Ottimo cibo accompagnato da un ottimo servizio, lo chef e la mamma molto educati e cordiali. Format diverso da solito ma molto apprezzato, più conviviale, super consigliato. Quando tornerò a Firenze verrò nuovamente in questo locale.

Gastheer is inderdaad weinig van zeg en draait op routine...weinig spontaan en enthousiast voor nieuwe gasten, dan wel voor de 'habituees'.....lekker gegeten, eerder kleine porties en heel puur en eenvoudig. Elke gast liet de wijnkeuze aan hem, maar bleek dat hij bij iedereen dezelfde wijn inschonk :) ...Je krijgt wat je bestelt...niets meer niets minder..;..maar afgaande op de vele Michelin stickers aan de inkom mocht het toch wat meer zijn qua enthousiasme en creativiteit. Mooi restaurant en apart met de krukken... Prijs/kwaliteit is OK.
