Prijs/kwaliteit is OK.
I wanted to keep this absolute gem a ‘secret’ for a bit longer, but its simply too good not to share…
This was our third time, & absolutely fantastic…again. Consider ordering the Polpette as a starter, main, & dessert. You’ll thank me…
Zeb is Firenze’s best.

The three of us had dinner.
I kept getting errors when making reservations on the website, and even when I sent reservation inquiries to my email address, I didn't get a reply. I called during lunch hours and the owner answered the phone so I could make a reservation.
Except for the four-person table by the window, all seats were narrow bar tables surrounding the kitchen in an L shape. Not long after we sat down, the owner came with a large menu and briefly explained each dish. I ordered peach pasta with ragu sauce, and my companions ordered ravioli with pear sauce and truffle spaghetti. He recommended a wine that best matched the taste of the dishes, so we each had a glass. The food was generous in quantity and very delicious.
For Sekondi, we ordered traditional Florentine offal and beef stewed in tomato broth to share. I wanted to try stuffed and grilled rabbit meat, but my companions were very opposed to it, so I couldn't order it... It tasted really good, as expected.
All three of us were so full that we didn't order dessert. With two bottles of water, three glasses of wine, and 1.5 euros per seat (reasonable!), it came out to about 120 euros. They said the menu changes periodically, but I highly recommend it to those who want to try Tuscan home cooking!

While walking in the neighborhood, we decided to walk in and see if they’s make a last minute reservation and they did.
Upon arrival, the lady ( I believe the owner’s mom) greeted us and we sat down. The atmosphere can be a little bit daunting if you are kind of a person who likes super busy and loud places. However, we liked it.
The chef explained the menu and after ordering pastas asked us what kind of wine we liked. The dishes were delicious and so flavorful. We ended our meal with a Tiramisu that was beautifully done.

Food was good, the tiramisu was life changing.
Tagliolini with black truffle was okay, slightly bland. The pesto pasta was excellent and fragrant. Eggplant parmigiana was nice. The cow’s tongue was cooked to perfection, but slightly too salty. Again, the tiramisu is life changing. Light and not too sweet, it was like eating clouds.
Wine recommendation was good, the chef read each item on the menu out for everyone. You order pasta first, after eating the pasta you order mains, and after eating mains you order dessert
Reservation is highly recommended as we managed to get a table by being the first in line at opening, everyone else had a reservation.
Not sure about the reviews talking about bad service, everything was excellent for us. Deserving of the Michelin award

Amazing food and experience. How does this exquisite restaurant not have 5 stars? We entered the tiny, elegant restaurant and were quickly seated by Josephine, mother of the mother and son team. The menu was artfully presented to us, and we enjoyed a first course of stuffed pasta with yellow squash and a French cheese sauce that was to die for (capellacci di zucca gialla in salsa di delice de bourgogne), and spaghetti bolognese that was rich and so full of flavor (pici al ragu di manzu). We let our waiter select red and white wines, delicious. Already full, we shared the eggplant parmesan as our second (melanzane alla parmesan), and it melted in our mouths, no fried breading, just thin cut eggplant baked with ricotta and seasoned to perfection.
Other reviews mentioned the service. It was not fast, but this artful experience is meant to be savored. You must take a deep breath, slow down, and embody the Italian passion for food. Each interaction with the staff was artful. If you want fast food, go somewhere else. If you want a laughing, smiling waiter/waitress, go to TGI Fridays. This is a show and a feast for the soul at unexpectedly reasonable prices (€88 with 3 glasses of wine and all of the above at a Micheline Star restaurant!). We were sad they were closed the next day before we left Florence, because we wanted to come back and try other dishes. Highly recommended. We'll come back to Florence for this restaurant.

Bravi. Piatti buono e fatti bene. Dalla tradizione alla raffinatezza della ricerca. Tanto vino anche poco trovano le a Firenze. Frequentazione medio alta anche se il conto è adeguato allo stile Big Gourmet della Guida.
