Our waiter, the owner, was very polite and prompt. The food, cooked by his wife was so delicious, even the neighborhood cat couldn’t keep himself away from the wonderful aroma - no matter how many times they tried to shoo him out! The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the view from the lower balcony breathtaking. The prices were in line with an elevated dining experience. Ben fatto, Baglio!

Absolutely wonderful. We came here after proposed and she said “yes”. The incredible views. The choice of foods and the great wine. The owner treated us like family and made so many great recommendations. What else can I say? You won’t be disappointed.

We rarely give 5 stars all around, but this Bistrò deserves it. My story started differently from most. I'm from the USA and work with several Italian doctors and scientists. When they heard we were going to Amalfi, they said we must dine at Baglio Amalfi. On the day prior to our reservation, I came down with Covid and lost my sense of smell, and we sadly cancelled. Almino went way beyond expected; he showed full concern for me and followed how I was recovering, and arranged a time for us to return once I recovered. When we finally dined, it was worth the wait. The food and service were truly memorable, and equal to the very best we experienced on our travels. We recommend it as highly as possible. We rarely visit a place twice, but this is on that short list. Thank you Almino and Serena.

This is a magical restaurant that will be one of the highlights of your lifetime dining memories. I have an unusual review of it, however. I'm from the USA and work with several Italians who are major foodies. For years I had heard them rave about this Bistrò. They would sigh and say, "It is the place of memories - of food, good wine, views, and even better hospitality." We planned our trip to Southern Italy with this restaurant in mind. They went out of their way to help us secure the time and menu when we would be there. Then, tragically, the day before we were to eat there, my wife and I got Covid and lost our ability to taste. Days later we still could not smell or taste. Despite cancelling our meal, Albino went out of his way to help us. I have never expected, or experienced, such empathy and attention from a restaurant owner, especially when we did not even eat there this time. We are already planning our return trip once our smell and taste return. Thank you again Albino and Serina. .

I was always told to save the best for last. Great Advice and my family and I did just that. Dinner at Baglio Amlfi Italian Bistro Cucina lives up to its reputation. Quiet, great atmosphere, beautiful views, great service and the food was the best meal we have had on the Amalfi coast. We had the Caprese di Burrata with tomatoes and it was nothing short of fantastic. We also loved the eggplant cubes on tomato puree. The special tonight was lasagna and I can not remember enjoying lasagna more than this. It was simply delicious. We had the fresh caught fish with lemon and sage. We also had another dish but no one can remember what it was. Dessert included molten chocolate cake, tiramisu and lemon sponge cake. We highly recommend every visitor have at least one meal here.

Baglio has a stunning location with a cliff edge terrace, about a 5 minute drive from Amalfi town. There are only 6/7 tables, all railside, in a restaurant which is stunningly modern. It is run by a husband and wife couple, Albino and Serena and the service is excellent and friendly. We both had the tuna tartare as a starter and catch of the day which was outstandingly cooked. The wine list is interesting with several local options as well. Would thoroughly recommend, you need to book and pay a no-pitch refundable deposit.

We went here for a romantic dinner, given the great reviews. Unfortunately, it must have been an off day because it was really nothing special, with all dishes lacking both flavour and seasoning. The manager/boss didn't seem at all happy and didn't even smile at us once. The view is gorgeous, like all the other places along this coast but he prices are VERY high; a plate of burrata for 25 euros and most dishes of pasta nearing 30 euros. We won't be back. (PS could we start a campaign to stop men coming to nice restaurants in vests, armpits visible and odorous?)
