Somehow this place got listed on the Michelin guide so we checked it out for dinner. I’m not sure how it got picked, as this wouldn’t even have been in the top 50% of all restaurants I’ve been to in my entire life.
+ good food, not great
+ charming property grounds
- very very poor service - took me over 30 mins to get a wine menu. Waiters don’t look at you or offer any help. Had to flag them down every time
- server knew very little about the menu. I asked for a recommendation between two dishes (lamb and duck) and he gave a very l unhelpful answer about how he “hates “ lamb and offered no suggestions for anything at all.
- somehow among the amazing property the ambience here was horrible. No music, dead quiet. Very little thought put into the decor
- very poor value for price

A beautiful venue a few steps from the town center, but with a view of the Val di Chiana.
Very welcoming and kind staff, lots of courtesy and helpfulness.
The food is very good, the guinea fowl mosaic remains one of my favorite dishes.
The second courses such as the lamb cooked at low temperature and the duck breast fan are also amazing. A wide choice of wines.

Siamo capitati sul luogo grazie alla guida "Fuori Casello" (consigliata a me dal ristoratore di trattoria Pennesi di Pedaso FM) la quale consiglia i ristoranti limitrofi ai caselli viari.... devo dire che il posto è bellissimo ed il cibo molto buono.... sicuramente costa un po più di un ristorante normale, ma giustamente la qualità si paga

We discovered this place by chance but it's a shame we didn't know about it before.
The restaurant is super
Excellent dishes, fresh raw materials and courteous and attentive service.
It is also possible to have dishes for celiacs
Average price.
I recommend for a weekend or even just for dinner or lunch.

Ci siamo fermati poiché il “Fuori casello” ci dava questo ristorante nei paraggi, e come accade ogni volta, è stato ottimo! La location è da sogno, da passarci un fine settimana in totale relax, il ristorante ben curato. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene, spendendo appropriatamente.

The Redaelli Walter Restaurant has proven to be a true jewel of Tuscan cuisine. The environment, created from an ancient farmhouse, is rustic and welcoming, with a warm and familiar atmosphere. The staff is exquisitely kind and always attentive to customer needs.
But the real protagonist was the food. We started with an appetizer of mixed croutons, all delicious and prepared with the freshest ingredients. As a first course, we opted for pici all'aglione, a typical dish of the area that won us over with its strong flavor and perfect cooking. But the real star of the evening was the Chianina. We had a rosemary steak, cooked to perfection and tender as butter. The meat was very tasty and melted in your mouth. To accompany this sublime dish, we chose a Chianti Classico from the reserve, which paired perfectly with the flavors of the meat.
Finally, to end on a high note, we had a pistachio semifreddo, a creamy and delicate dessert that delighted our palate.

A good address for gourmet dining just a few minutes from the A1 Valdichiana toll booth.
The chef interprets local cuisine with a modern touch. Excellent raw materials, well presented and tasty dishes. Good wine list. Average prices.
