Roman cuisine restaurant and pizzeria, wood-fired oven, very good, clean and well-organized, excellent price, near the Vatican, always an excellent choice

Fantastic! We spent three nights in Rome and ate there all three times with our children.
We loved the food and the staff. Highly recommended.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Italian cuisine... The menu doesn't offer anything but pasta (pasta in sauce), pizza, and seafood (either plain or in paste). I must admit, however, that the pizza was delicious, crispy and flaky, with good cheese and prosciutto. Prices are about 1-2 euros cheaper than those closer to the city center. The place is okay, but not like many in Rome.

If you're looking for an authentic trattoria in Rome, Buona Forchetta is a sure bet. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in that welcoming Roman atmosphere, unpretentious and focused on what matters most: the food.
The pasta all'amatriciana was simply perfect: impeccably cooked al dente, with a balanced and flavorful sauce, and the guanciale cooked to perfection, adding intensity without being overpowering. The carbonara deserves special mention: creamy, well-bound, with no trace of cream, and that deep egg and cheese flavor that defines the traditional Roman recipe. Their respect for classic cuisine is evident.
And for those who love spice, the pizza diavola is a total winner: light and well-fermented dough, airy and crispy edges, and a spicy salami that adds character without overpowering the other ingredients. Attentive and friendly service, good value for money, and a highly recommended experience if you want to enjoy well-executed Roman dishes. Definitely a place to return to.

Great experience!
I just left the restaurant and felt the need to write a review right away.
I came on my parents' recommendation. I was a little skeptical, but I was proved wrong!
There were three of us, and we ordered: supplì, potato croquettes, and three pasta dishes: carbonara, gricia, and amatriciana.
We arrived very early; we were the only ones there, but we waited just the right amount of time.
The pasta was plentiful and very good, as were the fried foods.
The guys who run the place aren't Italian, at least not the ones we met at lunch, but I have to give special praise to the waiter: he was a man of few words but very kind.
In the end, we didn't order dessert, but the waiter offered us three shots of limoncello and a cookie each.
The place was also very clean; there were both tablecloths and cloth napkins.
If you happen to be in the area, stop by; it's just a stone's throw from San Pietro station.

Just 200 meters from our hotel.
A real gem, from the food and service to the friendly atmosphere and prices.
We've been four times and have absolutely no regrets! Go for it!

I'm here on a school trip and the food was really delicious and very reasonably priced, and the staff were excellent too. I'll definitely be back.
