Had lunch here and what a find. It was incredibly busy and almost exclusively Italians. No tourists. That says it all.
The staff is nice, friendly, and relaxed. You feel welcome immediately. The wine list is extensive and well-chosen. The food was delicious. Classic, pure, and perfectly prepared. We really enjoyed ourselves here.
Reservations are necessary. Without a reservation, you run the risk of being turned away.
The location is outside the city center. Expect a long ride by tram and public transport. It is more than worth it. For us, one of the best places of the entire trip.

the meatball here is better than the other meatballs ive had. but its just meatball.
the fried gnocchi was underwhelming. pretty dry and doughy. cacio sauce wasnt melted enough, or plated too early
the pasta was great though. tonnarelli alla gricia. the noodles were perfect here. probably the best. the pork cheek was perfect. the sauce was very good, a little salty. excellent pasta

After participating in the Plastic Free volunteer event at Villa Pamphili, we immediately headed to Trattoria da Cesare al Casaletto.
What can I say? .... excellent cuisine...
Dishes tried:
Tonnarelli alla vignarola...good;
Grilled fillet...tender and tasty;
Grilled vegetables...ok.
Water.
Good service with friendly, smiling staff.
Personally, I recommend it.

We were just lucky to get a table. And it was worth it. The food here is delicious. The service is very polite and attentive. So, I highly recommend making a reservation and visiting.
