Perfect place to try a good wine or Champagne with delicious bites or dishes. The restaurant opens at 18.00, which is “too early” for Italians but perfect timing for hungry tourists. The place is just behind the Nicastro’s cathedral and has brilliant view toward the city, the main boulevard and the amphitheatrically built houses and buildings of the city. The main advantage of the place, however, is the service. The guys who run the restaurant are really involved into their job, know the wine list like true sommeliers and can tell you a story about each bottle they offer you. It was really amazing experience and was really unexpected to understand that there is a Bulgarian guy there, Nikolay, who was so helpful that he ordered a taxi for us but because we were told that it would arrive after an hour (yes, you cannot just stop a taxi on the streets, you should call it), we went to have a cup of coffee in a near shop. However, the taxi arrived earlier and this guy went from shop to shop to find us. It was really impressive his attitude. I absolutely recommend this restaurant. It is impossible to remain disappointed, guarantee!

Overall, a decent experience, but with a few things to consider. While we were taking our order, the waiter seemed less than attentive; he seemed more focused on insistently suggesting the different meatball variations. We also ordered a meatball that was stated to weigh 800 grams, but to the eye (and the plate) it looked decidedly smaller. The mixed platter included only aged cheeses, without any accompaniments like jams or honey, which would have made the experience more balanced. The rum service was also disappointing, as it was served without chocolate or sparkling water, details that make all the difference in a wine bar. On the plus side, the menu options are interesting and well-thought-out, as is the wine selection. Overall, the prices are reasonable for the offerings.
