Vinoteca Bologna In Bologna

My wife and I enjoyed an early dinner after all day travel from Phoenix, starting a nice bottle of Bologna Rossa then dinner of tagliatelli with wild boar ragu. We ate inside...a very comfy restaurant/bar location and had the place to ourselves until another table arrived after 7 pm. Service was attentive. Good choice.

One thing I wouldn't change about my trip in Bologna is our dinner at Vinoteca. Excellent food, paired with amazing wine that the staff recommended. I will definitely visit again when I return in Bologna!

A great place for wine lovers. Every dish, even traditional Bolognese dishes, is enhanced with new flavors and designed to maximize the pleasure of drinking the wines, of which there is a wide selection to suit every taste. Pleasant music and excellent service are featured. Lovers of fine wine and innovative interpretations of Italian cuisine will definitely enjoy this place.

The charcuterie was amazing. The main courses were excellent (try the MountainTagliatelle - it comes with a wild boar ragu. The service was fantastic. Prompt, efficient and helpful. They were a great help in choosing a wine to go with meal. The place is a little small so perhaps make a reservation to ensure a seat - we did. Side note - they were very accommodating to service in English, with my limited Italian vocabulary. The rum flight to cap is the evening was tremendous. Very knowledgeable about the rum too.

Excellent and big dishes including some nice wine and great service. The taglieri are better than other places we tried in the city. The tataroptions and the ragu eas also delicious. Don’t miss!

Every proposal on the menu is taken care of down to the smallest details: the cocktails like the mojito and the spritz are very fresh, perfect for a summer evening with friends. The creative desserts like the affogato are really special, and the tiramisu is delicious. Even though our Italian is not perfect yet, we wanted to practice it and the owner was very kind, speaking to us in Italian with a lot of patience and courtesy. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended, 5 full stars!

It's the third time I've been there and it never disappoints. I think it's a place for many but not for everyone. Trust the guys, they know what they're doing and their expertise is enormous. As for the quality, I think we can't judge but only appreciate the flavor and let the guys tell us the scents of the food. I recommend the tartare, especially the smoked one, the top appetizers, we tried the friarielli with polenta and they were delicate and delicious. The choice of wine was recommended to us: a very well-structured and particular Trebbiano. The owner is the "weapon" of the place, he loves his job and passes it on to the guys and the diners. I repeat that the place is for many but not for everyone, you have to know how to appreciate authenticity.

This seemed a slightly different dining venue and concept so we decided to try it and made an advanced reservation from the UK. It's not on a main road and took some locating. It didn't disappoint though. It's a small space and seemed to be mainly used as a quick stop wine bar, well the evening we went. The only other diners were a group of Americans who were rather loud and spoiled the atmosphere somewhat. The food was good and massive portions - the single charming waiter explaining, with humour, how the dining experience worked. He also made a very good wine recommendation. There appeared to be only him and a lady chef (semi open kitchen) working and so the service was leisurely to say the least. It felt like a long time to complete our two course meals, especially with the droning Americans on the next table. Hope they'd be better staffed on busier occasions! The bill was towards the top end but the portions and quality reflected this.

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and great service. I tried the selection of Crostini which was larger than I expected. Both were absolutely delicious. The service was really good, and very thoughtful around the fact that I was travelling alone.
