Vino Bono In Roma

We had dinner two nights in a few days. For starters, we had meatballs with melted pecorino romano cheese, they were special!! Followed by cacio e pepe (a taste sensation), and saltinbocca, both delicious and plentiful. On the second night, we started with the artichoke alla Giudia, followed by the excellent carbonara. For the record, we also went to a well-known trattoria in Trastevere, which gave us a taste of the quality at Vino Bono. The price is in line with other trattorias in Trastevere, but with a difference in the quality of the ingredients, so it's fair. Kudos to the owner, who is always present, and to all the staff for the service and the quality of the dishes. When judging, I usually ask myself: would I go back? ABSOLUTELY YES!!! Highly recommended. Come on!!!

Review is for their pizzeria: Great service! English speaking. Very welcoming, I am sorry I didn’t catch the name of a young man. Pizza was delicious. Eggplants - lacked a bit of salt and spices but definitely it was fresh. Since it is next to our base in Rome, we could be back. Thank you.

The current updated review is completely out of line with the restaurant, which has delicious food, excellent staff, and fast, professional service. We ate wonderfully, both the first and second courses. I've been coming to Rome for many years, and this place is no less worthy of a 5-star restaurant and some overrated ones. Definitely worth a try, and I highly recommend it. 👍

A modern trattoria on Piazza Strozzi, with a fairly spacious and well-heated outdoor terrace (a real plus given the season). The host described the dishes with great charm, and his suggestions helped diners choose much more than just the menu, which turned out to be exactly as advertised. The dishes are well-executed, and the off-menu items are also original. The service is always attentive and prompt. A small complaint about the wine list, which is limited in variety, although the prices are more than fair. A decent little place that I will definitely keep in mind.

We had a wonderful meal. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious, the mezze maniche carbonara was excellent, and the pistachio cheesecake was delicious. Highly recommended!

We came for an evening with friends and it was a pleasant discovery: good wine, excellent food, a wide variety of choices, and very kind and professional staff. We'll definitely be back! Excellent heating, even on the veranda! P.S. The boiled meatballs with pecorino cream were top marks!

Location: I really liked the place, with its wooden tables and furnishings. It's very warm and rustic, just as you'd expect an osteria to be. Food: We tried various dishes, from boiled meatballs to puntarelle with anchovies. Some chose the first course, others the second course. The dishes were good and the portions were just right. Service: It was quick and reasonably friendly. Price: Very good. For Rome, I expected higher prices, but I was satisfied.
