Spectacular place, the longest wine list I have ever seen in my life. That raw ham made me fly, I loved the octopus, and the fried sea food was spectacular. Very good I would return. I booked 2 months in advance.

Fish lunch with top marks! Small place discovered by chance, but where I will gladly return. Small, but well-kept and with a canal view. Varied and abundant fish starter, like the first courses, which left me and my friends more than satisfied! Even the desserts were above expectations! Friendly, helpful and very kind staff. Price proportionate to the offer. Highly recommended!

Lovely vibe in this place… we enjoyed two brilliant courses and had one dreadful course. The brilliant- grilled octopus.. sensational.. outstandingly fresh and meltingly tender and charred..a triumph.. main course of grilled fish with vegetables was accomplished.. tasty and well cooked… THE PASTA course- rigatoni with duck ragu…it was AWFUL. The pasta was miles & miles from Al dente.. Inedibly undercooked pasta cooked in a family owned Michelin recommended restaurant in Italy ??? .. so disappointing. The duck ragu wasn’t noteworthy but the carelessly cooked pasta ruined everything. For this reason I won’t return..

I wish we could have eaten here again. We found this restaurant through the Michelin Guide and they didn’t get it wrong. A small, family owned and operated business with an extremely welcoming and friendly staff. The food was incredible, fresh, and authentic. Our waiter was telling us he was a fourth generation Venetian and then proceeded to tell us the gentleman working the other tables was his father. His aunt was working the kitchen. If you have the opportunity I suggest trying this place. Oh and the vino, the VINO!!! Incredible! Delicious! Amazing!

A delightful place with an excellent view. A huge selection of wines and a small food menu. My favorite is the crab pasta! 🍝💔 It's just perfect. Also, the pasta with broccoli and anchovies was delicious, but the risotto was a bit too firm. The risotto is served for two, but the portions are quite small. Pleasant atmosphere and a very beautiful view of the canal from the restaurant. Service is quite slow. It's better to book a table in advance; we were lucky to get the last table available, as the place was full.

Appreciable classic menu, comfortable environment and fair prices. I recommend it for an evening in Venice as a Venetian

Allora parto subito affermando che non è un posto economico ed alla portata di tutti soprattutto se non si è astemi. La trattoria è storica e questi si vede e si sente quanto varchi la porta d'accesso. La proprietà (erano presenti credo padre e figlio) non sprizza simpatia da tutti i pori ma non posso affermare di aver percepito scortesia da parte loro. La carta dei vini e degli spiriti è importante così come il costo per accedervi. Ai piatti indicati nel menù vengono comunicati a voce altri piatti del giorno con i rispettivi prezzi spesso più costosi. Per quello che abbiamo mangiato non posso affermare di aver trovato un rapporto qualità prezzo adeguato, specie per quanto riguarda l'antipasto. I primi buoni ma non da lasciarti un ricordo indelebile. Non posso affermare di ritornarci la prossima volta.

Uno dei locali che ti fanno riconciliare con la ristorazione veneziana. Gigio, ristorante di famiglia da tre generazioni, delizia il palato non solo con i piatti più tipici (moeche, pesce freschissimo) ma anche con una lista eniclopedica di vini, nella quale spiccano chicche della vitocoltura naturale. Il conto non è leggerissimo, ma ne vale decisamente la pena.
