Excellent restaurant, well-deserved Michelin star

The restaurant offers the possibility of choosing à la carte or tasting menu. A refined and modern restaurant, a vast selection of wines, attentive and helpful service with a special attention to those with intolerances (I am celiac). Well-executed dishes and truly a pleasure to taste. A beautiful romantic dinner!

We were expecting a terrific meal given the Michelin rating, but were disappointed with our dinner. The food was good, but not the level either of us were expecting. The service was a mixed bag... great job by the wait staff, but poor job managing meal flow by the kitchen. We waited close to 40m for the main course and the reason given was that there was a large party they had to deal with. Not acceptable from a Michelin rated restaurant. We may have been the exception, but given our experience, I would not recommend Vineria Modi to friends.

We came back again after two years and we found them to the same level of quality. Special the staff impresed because they recognized us and was very friendly and professional. Thank you and we promise to come again! We was two times and it was great. The food was delicious and very well balanced. I asked for a glas of wine and they sugested a Nero Davola which was very good. The staff is friendly and helpfull. We had the best experience regarding restaurants in Taormina. We recomand it!

This is a place where you will be taken to a heaven of great tastes, vibrant Sicilian armosphere, marvelous foods and wines and overall great memorable experience. While Taormina is a once in a lifetime must do, Vineria Modi is the place for making your trip the most beautiful and unforgettable! Thank to the entire team of the Vineria Modi. This is culinary Sicilian Art as much as pure romance. Me and my wife fell in love with you!

Reservamos para adentro, que es íntimo aunque en nuestra visita algo invadido por un ruidoso, titulado, fiesta americana desvestida, en algún tipo de gran tour, que querían asegurarse de que todos estaban al tanto. Gracias! Un sumiller muy entusiasta, cuyas recomendaciones locales eran buenas, aunque su deseo de recargar nuestras copas significaba que teníamos sedimentos tanto en mi esposa como en mi último vaso, que tuvo que ser retirado. Las elecciones de vino de postre fueron de nuevo buenas. Diversión - bouche era una abundancia de innovación y sabores y excelente. La degustación de 8 platos comenzó con queso de cabra suave, seguido de atún crudo y luego un plato de sepia extraño que es demasiado suave y resbaladizo y luego tentáculos a la parrilla demasiado masticables, lo que hizo un plato extraño de hecho. Los platos de pasta eran excelentes. El cordero estaba sazonado, y crudo en el medio, sin sabor, esta falta de cocción no era necesaria, ya que cinco platos anteriormente eran crudos o de textura muy suave en la paleta. El único plato con textura real era la pasta rellena de mariscos, con una brillante salsa bouillabaisse bisque, o los tentáculos demasiado masticables antes mencionados. El prepostre de limón era tan intenso, el nuestro tenía el atomizador rociado por el servidor, que todos los demás parecían obtener, incluso la multitud ruidosa, si esto agregó algo que nunca averiguaremos. Los cuatro bocados de postre eran mucho mejores que un abrumador plato principal de postre. En general un menú mixto, con algo de brillantez allí. Hemos tenido menús degustación más consistentes en restaurantes de una estrella anteriormente. Merece la pena una visita si como nosotros te gusta chapotear de vez en cuando. Ten cuidado con quién te sientas.
