We were at Vineriadelre in Florence and the welcome from the staff was fantastic. Gianluca in particular was particularly kind and professional. I highly recommend it.

I'm spending a weekend in Florence and I'm at the Vineria del re restaurant. Strategic location, nice and helpful guys. What can I say about Gianluca's welcome!! Nice, handsome and professional!! I highly recommend it to everyone!!

We were at "Vineria del re" in Florence tonight. What can I say, we were welcomed by Gianluca with professionalism, kindness and friendliness. We ate very well and we will return as soon as possible!!!

I had a great lunch as a couple... staff of ten!! (difficult to find such kindness) local products and not but... the best of the best. I will return every time I come to Florence ❤️

I went there a second time to be sure, I have to say that the food is delicious but the staff is a bit rude and grumpy. This second time I asked (politely) for the bread basket to be removed and the waiter, as he turned his back, said harshly, “Just don’t eat it!” How rude. In addition to the lack of friendliness in the service. Honestly, it’s not the experience I look for when I go to a restaurant.

Omg so great! Lunch was amazing and Gianluca our server was outstanding. The melon and prosciutto with a side of bruschetta a wonderful start with the pici de Pepe as a perfect ending. Great people watching and the staff was the best! Ask for Gianluca!

We stopped by for dessert and coffee and the restaurant was very busy. Gianluca was our server and he assured us they had the best tiramisu and he was right. Excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. Casual and fun.

Only managed lunch on our most recent visit last week, but it was good to see Alban and the team. Enjoyed a very nice pizza and a lovely bottle of wine. The restaurant was very busy, so when we are back later in the year, we hope to have dinner and to have more time to chat to the team. Though we did pop into the Bar for a drink and to see Chiara, who is a complete sweetie.

Fantástica comida, servicio y ambiente. Bisteca Allá fiorentina no defraudó. Incluso tienes un plato caliente para cocinar más el filete si no es de tu agrado, todo el personal fue amable y atractivo, pero extra gracias a Albert por hacer nuestra primera noche en Florencia tan agradable.

02/08/2025: Arriving late at our vacation spot and a bit tired from the trip, we followed our host's advice and went to dinner at Gli Scugnizzi. We sat on the terrace and ate really well (and in abundance)! The mixed fried fish was tasty, and my son loved the dessert: a cassatina, which he'd never tried before. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere relaxed, and the price reasonable. A good choice for a good dinner!
29/07/2025: We were referred here by a kind gentleman (owner?) from Zimbo Osteria Pizzeria on a Sunday afternoon after driving to several different pizzerias. Pizzas were not available at Zimbo on Sundays but their seafood smelled delicious as we were leaving. The food at Gil Scugnizzi (Margherita pizza, Stracciatella pizza, 4 Stagioni pizza, & linguine ai frutti di mare) was one of the best we’ve eaten on our short trip to Italy. The service was fantastic with a smile and the bright and cheery atmosphere was welcoming. We would love to come back.

Osteria Mangiando Mangiando

10/07/2025: This is by far the best restaurant we visited in our four days in Florence. Everything here has been carefully considered: fantastic food, great service, a small, intimate setting, and wonderfully peaceful! The air conditioning completes the experience. Just outside the city center, this is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.
