The place is very nice, not very big, surrounded by a well-kept garden, and located on a quiet street with little traffic, making it quiet and peaceful. Excellent food and friendly staff.
Be careful with the pensioner menu 😉.

Excellent food, highly recommended!
The fish or meat menu was super generous and truly delicious.
We paid €20 (pensioners get a €5 discount), and they gave us an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, water, and wine!
Very friendly staff, we'll definitely be back if we ever get back to Anzio.

A good-quality, well-sized set menu, highly recommended, especially for retirees, who will pay (upon reservation) just €10, including water, wine, bread, and cover charge! I won't say anything else; just try it.

Despite its Roman veneer, Rugantino is a traditional osteria, far from arrogant or deceitful. Practically unique. Hidden among the back streets of residential Anzio, on the outskirts and discreet, it's a place and cuisine experience you must experience quickly. With a simple menu of just a few lines, friendly service, and furnishings that are even too modern, when you leave you feel grateful that there are still people willing to work cheaply, honestly, and maintain dignified quality.
