Taverna Sorrentina Sweet Dreams

17/09/2023: What a place! One of those places you invariably 'walk past' on the way the more talked about and invariably pricier and ultimately disappointing venues. Sweet Dreams serves up cracking food in a friendly, professional and let's face it traditionally Italian surroundings. The Linguine with clams, mussels & prawns was off the scale as were the ravioli and grilled peppers. Just excellent food, service & surroundings. All at a ridiculously low price..... looking forward to a couple more visits before we leave.
16/08/2023: Keep coming here initially due to location but because eventually because it had good food and good drinks. It was serving both locals and tourist with no difference in services or food. Does not look much but definitely worth a stop. A great surprise and delight for the trip.

03/04/2024: We ate very well, the staff were welcoming and kind... thanks again for everything...
31/03/2024: We went to eat at this place on Easter Sunday. The waiters were very kind and made us sit right away. We ordered the "7 Soldi" spaghetti for let's say a not very cheap price, €18 per person, but it fits you are close to Via Toledo, the dish looks good, in a pan, let's say the portion is a bit small , but the quality of the fish is good, it is certainly fresh. Negative note however is that I found a clam completely full of sand, luckily it didn't open on the plate otherwise I would have eaten spaghetti and sand. After pointing this out to the waiter, who also took it away, there was total nothingness, not even an apology. This made me a little sad also because I don't usually create controversies, but I would have appreciated some apology. They probably don't care given the high customer turnover.
