A get-together with friends: I based myself at this property for its convenient location, walking distance, and for its objectively competitive price. It's not like it's been chosen by countless tourists and pilgrims, who, practically right outside the gates, are just a few kilometers from the iconic sites of Assisi. The room I stayed in is rustic in style but absolutely functional. Despite the crowds—everywhere was full, thank goodness I booked early—I slept very well. I didn't have the chance to try the cuisine. Breakfast is simple and classic. Price is in line, without being excessive, with this highly touristy area.

Excellent structure, located close to everything, you also eat very well.

Hotel located in a convenient area from which you can take a bus to Assisi. Tickets can be purchased at the reception. It has parking for guests. Rooms with air conditioning and TV. New, comfortable and spacious bathrooms. Furniture a little dated. Restaurant that applies a 10% discount to hotel guests. Carefully prepared and good quality dishes. Follow the advice to visit some lesser-known villages that will be given to you. From the hotel you can reach, after a walk, both the lively center of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Porziuncola.

Great location, good restaurant, but the mattresses in the room are very hard

The room wasn't bad at first glance. The bathroom was clean, and there was nothing to criticize in terms of hygiene. However, the walls were cracked, and when you opened the window, you had a wall in front of the window 🤦‍♂️ You can't get that when you paid the same price as others who, on the other hand, got a good view. Then to the food: The taste wasn't bad, but the portions were very small, and if you asked the waitress for a little more, you were disrespectfully ignored. At breakfast, a friend of mine wanted a croissant, but he wasn't allowed to have another one because "croissants are rationed," and someone had taken two 🤦‍♂️ I've never heard of anything like that in any hotel before. I don't think I'll visit this hotel again.

We stayed at the Hotel Restaurant Villa Elda for 3 nights and it was a truly pleasant experience. Since our arrival we were welcomed with great cordiality by all the staff, always available and attentive to the needs of the guests. A really important plus was finding the room ready at 9:30 in the morning, an attention that we greatly appreciated. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, tidy and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Every morning we were able to enjoy a plentiful and very varied breakfast, with fresh products and options for all tastes. The hotel's location is strategic: it is located on the plain below Assisi, in a quiet but comfortable setting. It is possible to reach the Basilica of San Francesco on foot, with a walk of about 40 minutes uphill, or comfortably with the bus/shuttle whose stop is a few steps from the hotel. We undoubtedly recommend Villa Elda to those looking for a clean, welcoming and well-positioned base for visiting Assisi and its surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel on the outside, large room and comfortable bed, slightly dated bathroom without bidet, very courteous staff, decent food; excellent location, very close to the Basilica of Assisi.
