Versilia Com'era In Larciano

This is a very, very nice restaurant with a fantastic view of Tuscany. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Ordering was quick and easy. We were also able to speak English, as we were from Germany. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and it was delicious (our pizza is pictured). The price was excellent; by German standards, it was quite reasonable for the size. I highly recommend it!!

Tonight we found this little place, quiet and cool, fabulous! And I'd say we even ate well, if it weren't for... and here's where the bad news begins! The only redeeming features are the two waiters, very nice if inexperienced. We ordered prosecco, which arrived warm. Okay, so they brought us an ice bucket and we waited, but we had to ask for ice to drink it. After a while, the pizza and carpaccio arrived, but there were only four of us... the other two dishes arrived slowly and coldly. We also had three grilled vegetables, but only two arrived... at the end of the meal, they explained to us that unfortunately they had run out of vegetables. And anyway, on our plate we had three very thin slices of eggplant, two slices of zucchini, and some julienned bell peppers. And I'm so sorry, because we're here for dinner with friends and we found this little place ourselves. Poor management? Too many people to serve? We'll try to come back, hoping it was just a... bad night.

I hate to write a negative review because the service staff are very kind and the atmosphere is lovely. Unfortunately, my scampi gnocchi (very good) were small and cold... the grilled vegetables were very thin and very few, and my husband didn't get any because they were out. The tartare was good, and so was the pizza. The warm prosecco... what a shame! We'll try to come back... maybe we'll have better luck!

In the San Baronto area, near Larciano, this seafood restaurant and pizzeria serves traditional Viareggio cuisine. The fish is sourced directly from the owner, and the quality is excellent. The place is fresh and the prices are fair.

This lovely restaurant is a bit hidden away. We sat outside on the terrace and had made a reservation in advance. We were seated among the Italians, which we always enjoy when we are on vacation. There aren't many vegetarian options, actually only a few pizzas. Lots of fish options. Super friendly service. We were served delicious bread beforehand (one of those plain, crispy pizzas). Cozy, quiet atmosphere! Definitely recommended!

I confirm my positive review. Excellent restaurant that alternates excellent seafood dishes with pizza. The timing is perfect for a thoughtful tasting. Excellent prices.
