I took a Pesto class in April 2026, during the spring.
An incredible and very local experience. The teacher is a wonderful person, very friendly and talented. We stayed in a very cozy place with all the necessary materials. There was a tasting of local wines and limoncino. The class is great, with tips that only a local can really pass on. I found it fun, but I recommend going with someone, as I noticed that most people were in groups, so there wasn't much interaction.
The experience is relaxed, and it lasts more than 1 hour. Booking.com said it would last 1 hour, but it lasted much longer. So if you only have one day in Cinque Terre, this is quite relevant as it ends up tightening your schedule.
Overall I loved the experience and would highly recommend it.

A wonderful time spent with friends enjoying a wine tasting and pesto-making class. Lovely atmosphere and a very warm welcome. They kindly translated everything into French for us.

Did the “first date” flight of wines, great intro to the wines of the region, and great value for money. Wine servings were good, and the accompanying focaccia was better than some bakeries! I recommend

I highly recommend this lovely and authentic place, away from the tourist crowds.
The sharing platters are excellent and the lemon spritzes are delicious. The service is impeccable, very welcoming and warm.

A wonderful bar, run with dedication and attention to detail amidst the tourist bustle of the Cinque Terre. The wine is superb, the service even more so. The focaccia served with the drinks was a delight.

This year we took our boys to Vernazza, Italy, one of the five towns in the Cinque Terre. Knowing we wanted to have our kids connect with their roots, my wife suggested we take a cooking class. To put it bluntly, our one-on-one pesto and pasta making course with Carla was an exceptional experience! Not only was it a hands on, private tutorial the entire time, she even had a beautiful local bottle of white wine......"when we cook, we drink wine!"
We went back the next day to try some different wines and her charcuterie board skills! Of course, Carla did not disappoint!!!
Our family is looking forward to putting our new skills to the test when we are back in the US to see if we can replicate what we learned!

We ordered gnochi with pesto for two. What we received was a food for one person. It was very tasty but the portion for 12e was way too small. We were the onlu guests then and we waited quite long for food. Unfotunately we saw that gnochi was not handmade but talen from frozen bag. That's a pity.
