Dim lighting, a slightly fusion atmosphere, like the cuisine. The dishes, though carefully crafted, maintained a very consistent flavor profile throughout the dinner, with notes ranging from bitter to burnt to salty. The service was courteous, perhaps a little too quick. Overall, a good experience, which could be improved with greater balance and a more relaxed pace.

"Intenso" is the name of this gastronomic journey here at Veritas, a one-star restaurant run by chef Marco Caputi. The chef has fun and entertains with these intensely flavorful dishes, verging on bitterness (present in most of the dishes) that segue into freshness and acidity. The "chicken, kimchi, green curry" dish, accompanied by a salt and rosemary brioche, remains a firm favourite. Thanks to the entire Veritas team for this experience.

Veritas is a one-star Michelin Guide restaurant tucked along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, with views over the Chiaia district. The intimate dining room sets the stage for a contemporary tasting menu that feels distinctly modern while remaining grounded in Italian technique.
The cuisine is creative and colorful, with precise plating and thoughtful contrasts of texture and flavor. Dishes lean inventive rather than nostalgic, offering a clear departure from Campania’s deeply traditional culinary identity. Each course is carefully composed, balancing visual elegance with restraint.
For diners interested in contemporary Italian fine dining that pushes beyond regional conventions, Veritas stands out as one of Naples’ most refined and forward-looking tables.

The restaurant received a top rating. I ordered the "memories" menu, and the only thing I wasn't entirely satisfied with was the main course. I was expecting something more unique given the rest of the menu.
I really appreciated the service, which was precise and never intrusive, as unfortunately happens at other Michelin-starred restaurants. The location is elegant, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

A mixed bag.
Visited Veritas on a Saturday.
We were welcomed and seated in the private dining room for our group of 8. We had pre-ordered the Autentico menu (5 courses). What made it called Autentico, remained a bit unclear.
Vertitas challenged with interesting flavors and creative dishes, all of which were super well-prepared. I would especially like to highlight their ravioli with smoked fish, chicken and tarragon and Amberjack with celeriac, bay leaf and everlasting flower (helichrysum). And their bread. The least interesting was spaghetti with leek, lemon and capers. And then we had a (pre) dessert that had a very strong syrup on top, which the rest of the dish struggled to balance. The menu offered several smoked elements, which in a way created a thread from the first to the last dish (sprayed with smoked whiskey); but at the same time seemed a bit one-sided. But a matter of taste.
We chose to be served local wines, which for the most part were well matched to the dishes. The fact that several were orange wines, which were not to my taste, should not be blamed on them.
The service was excellent - as expected at a Michelin restaurant, albeit a bit mechanical.
I was surprised, however, that we felt it necessary to order a 6th course, since before dessert we could see that most of the party would not be full. I suggested a course, and it was not challenged and they were served it very quickly. Fine. But it shouldn't be necessary.
As for the wine menu, it was just below the limit for both tasting and having enough for the dishes, that a single bottle was shared between the 8 of us. Others will have a different opinion, but we often sat with empty glasses.
We were not offered to finish with either cheese, coffee (!) or anything else. We could of course say something ourselves, but expected them to ask. We left it at that.
Was it good? Yes…
Was it also a bit unrealized and not so stringent - in both food and service. Also yes.
Could Veritas have handled our company better (and increased their turnover nicely) by reading our needs better along the way. Yes. Definitely.
Was the overall experience worthy of 1 Michelin star? Unfortunately, I didn't feel that way when I compare it to others. But let's see what the truth will be for Veritas the next time stars fall.

I was a bit disappointed by the overall flavor of the dishes and the limited bar setup for a Michelin-starred restaurant. I visited Veritas while on vacation with my family and chose it so my sister could enjoy her first Michelin experience. Having dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants myself and working in hospitality, I was surprised by a few details.
When I ordered an extra dry martini with Monkey 47—no vermouth and olives on the side—it arrived with vermouth and no olives. When I asked for the olives, I was told they didn’t have any, which felt unusual for a Michelin-starred restaurant in Naples, a city celebrated for its fresh Italian ingredients.
While the staff were kind and attentive, drinks took quite a while to arrive despite the restaurant not being very busy. The food presentation was truly beautiful—perfect for photos—but the flavors didn’t quite meet expectations given the restaurant’s reputation and location in Campania, where ingredients are world-class. There’s certainly room for improvement in execution and flavor consistency.

I visited this Michelin-starred restaurant for my birthday and it did not disappoint. I had high expectations, which were met every time, from appetizer to dessert. I chose one of the experience menus. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the location was elegant and intimate. Street parking is available in blue lines, or there's a private parking lot less than 50 meters away, which is part of a local 5-star hotel, but you can also park inside.

Let's start with the ambiance: simple and essential, in wabi sabi style.
The service is certainly excellent, no doubt about it.
Unfortunately, the sore point is what should be the most important thing: the food. From bitter to burnt to salty in every possible nuance, leaving us at the end of the meal with a bitter taste in our mouths, including the sweet one.
