It felt like a local restaurant rather than one catering to tourists haha. The food was delicious and the owner was very pleasant and friendly. Recommended if you're visiting the Vatican! The price is a bit expensive

The Velando Restaurant, located in the heart of Rome, offers a unique culinary experience that blends the Lombard tradition with the Roman one. The intimate and welcoming environment, with a few well-spaced tables, guarantees an ideal atmosphere for both business lunches and romantic dinners. The menu is rich and varied, offering dishes such as casoncelli, a typical Lombard stuffed pasta served with butter, parmesan and sage, and Barolo braised meat with buckwheat polenta, which represents one of the house specialities. The smoked herring with polenta is also excellent. The quality of the cuisine and the attention to detail are excellent, with a particular mention for the hospitality of the staff. Absolutely recommended!!

Small place near Borgo Pio in Rome. Very close to St. Peter's Basilica. In a cozy but still comfortable environment, four people had lunch, choosing different dishes and everyone confirmed the excellent quality. Special mention for the Portuguese cod. Impeccable service for kindness and competence.

For me the point of reference for Lombard cuisine in Rome. High level environment, trained staff, owner available and ready to make suggestions aimed at your palate. Possibility of traditional Roman dishes. Just outside the Vatican... what more could you ask for?

Ottimo locale. Cibo di alta qualità, cucinato benissimo. Prezzo adeguato. A due passi da Piazza San Pietro, ma assolutamente fuori dal casino turistico. Patrizia è bresciana come me e lo ritengo un valore aggiunto. Pranzo in famiglia, ci siamo sentiti a casa. Lo consiglio alla grande

Locale carino non turistico propone piatti della tradizione della val camonica affiancati da qualche primo romano!piatti buoni e porzioni abbondanti,scivolone sul tiramisù fatto in casa che non è stato in linea con le mie corde perché il cioccolato fuso mi è sembrato quello dei classici topping non un buon cioccolato sciolto!prezzi leggermente alti ma giustificati dalla zona e dalla qualità della materia prima!servizio cortese e veloce!

18/04/2025: In the heart of the countryside of lower Lazio, a stone's throw from the sea, even if it would seem you don't need it given the beautiful swimming pool, La Corte is an oasis in the desert. I haven't tried the rooms but only because I live less than two km away so I know the quiet of the night in the area well, so I won't judge the mattress but let me say that the exterior of the rooms, all with independent entrances and which overlook the central area of ​​the location, facing the swimming pool, is fantastic. In the restaurant however... Everything is the same. Well looked after, tidy and quiet. The simple but elegant layout. We tried a tasting route and as a first surprise a still "honest" bill. Just right for two people with 3 courses (starter, first and second course... oh and also a dessert). All very good both on the palate and to the eye. Young and very kind staff. I recommend it, in the meantime we will meet again to try the swimming pool.

27/05/2025: Went again this year and had to update my review. The service was okay but very impersonal and the food was good not great. The worst thing? A family of four with 4 wines by the glass.. €200. That was our last visit. We love this place and come every year. Upscale seafood themed restaurant near Piazza Del Popolo. The food is consistently excellent, Ana the server/manager is the nicest, warmest person. She remembers us every year. This is a hidden gem. Highly recommend.
