Very good food and friendly staff

We booked just an hour before, fortunately finding a place for lunch. It was January 2nd. As soon as we enter we are immediately greeted by a wave of heat, which is greatly appreciated after a freezing morning walking around Padua. The restaurant is welcoming and the staff very friendly. We in particular were accompanied on our culinary journey by Viktor, a very young and very knowledgeable Ukrainian boy who was able to advise us and with whom we had the pleasure of exchanging a few laughs (he's a smart boy, he deserves a promotion). The restaurant is full, both of families, tourists and regular customers, whom we met while queuing at the toilet (the only downside is that it is really dated and too small). There are five of us and from the menu, which you can find using the QR code, we choose 3 starters: a portion of grilled polenta, a selection of cheeses and cold cuts and a selection of crostini with goose breast ham (very good), two portions of Cadorina gnocchi so delicate that they melt in your mouth, 3 portions of bigoli in sauce, a novelty for me, I've wanted to try them for a long time and I really loved them (the cooking of the bigoli was perfect, no flavor predominant because the roundness of the onion balanced very well with the pungent flavor of the anchovies, highly recommended), 1 portion of mascarpone cream with panettone and 3 portions of passion fruit cream with fresh fruit and small meringues on top (REALLY CRAZY because it was fresh, not at all sweet, very aromatic, the acidulous flavor of the fruit was perfectly toned down by the sweetness of the meringues. So good that I cleaned the cup with a teaspoon very carefully), water, a bottle of wine (18 euros) and cover charge (3€ per person) for a total of 139 euros. I recommend it!

The service was excellent and fast. The waiters were very kind and helpful. The owner is a very nice and courteous person. The meat was really delicious. Absolutely recommended

Passing through Padua we were able to taste the excellently cooked dishes at this restaurant in the city centre. Excellent experience. Good value for money. Booking recommended.

The owner is very friendly, the meat is good, the location needs improvement especially the bathrooms. Anyway it ate well

Very touristy place, small portions too small, however a historic place

Truly beautiful place in the heart of Padua…. I ate a Florentine steak which was a dream... very kind staff as well as the owner who was very attentive to the needs of everyone present. Go and you won't regret it. Thanks for a great evening.

A truly great place to find typical dishes and excellent quality meat

Ristorante più che discreto. Si vede la tradizione di ristorazione . Servizio dei camerieri buoni. Cibo anch’esso buono.

Ottimo locale con personale molto disponibile, ci siamo presentati in 8 e ci hanno trovato subito un tavolo. Cena eccezionale, assolutamente consigliato!
