A charming and quaint venue located a short distance from Codroipo's main square. The building is period, likely from the 19th or 18th century, and is located right next to the Codroipo canal. It previously housed the local courthouse. The venue is accessed via an internal courtyard, with tables for outdoor dining. The service and cocktails are good.

THAT'S Italy for me. You feel like you're at a friend's house! The food is prepared with so much love, the wine selection is just right, you just feel at home. If it weren't so far away, I would have become a regular today. Keep up the good work!

Osteria al Cappello

23/09/2025: A charming, traditional spot recommended by Udine locals for an aperitivo and a glass of "un'ombra" (an Italian glass of wine) or more. A wide selection of wines by the glass or bottle, and delicious cicchetti (cicchetti).
15/09/2025: A very nice place, well-maintained, friendly, in the center of Udine in a nice area. The service was excellent, the food was good, but not outstanding, just average. We chose it because it's in the Slow Food Guide. The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is pleasant. I'm not sure the dishes are truly Slow Food-esque, even though they were good. However, it's a place I would recommend.

02/09/2025: Anyone staying in the apartments here will have to resort to self-service. Prices for a small seafood salad (€16) are quite high, while pizza (Naples-style, thanks to its thick crust) costs €10-12.
27/08/2025: Very nice place. Friendly and professional staff. Excellent selection of food and drinks.
