Vanilla Caffè In Bologna

Fantastic place, minimal, welcoming atmosphere, top staff 😎

I walk through the door with a cup of coffee in my hand, just paid for, in August, without customers, and the bartender arrogantly tells me that this is not a normal thing to do. Arrogance and a lack of hospitality for tourists. Never again.

Definitely recommended for a quick lunch break. The lasagna was green—as is customary here—and tasted absolutely amazing. Prices are in line with the local standard. Food is cheap, wine is expensive—around €20.

Amazing vibe, interesting art, great choice of music, great location, tasty brioche. This place is a mix of cool, interesting and relaxing. I will definitely visit this place again.

We were in Bologna for the day and were looking for somewhere to eat at around 4pm which unfortunately most places were closed due to siesta. However we found this gem of a place just down from the towers. We were able to sot outside and ordered some cocktails and food. We ordered a caprese salad to share and we all ordered the lasagne on the managers recommendation as her mother made it herself. Not ine to pass up the opportunity to try traditional home cooked cuisine i jumped at the chance even though i am not generally a fan of lasagne. It was delicious and just the right balance of meat pasta, cheese and sauce and not too large a potion but just enough to satisfy you. The food was all fantastic and the staff were lovely and attentive. There was a small issue with one of our drinks which was not at all the fault of the restaurant as we had asked for something off menu and it wasn’t quite right taste wise but they were quick to offer a replacement or refund which was above and beyond what i had expected. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting bologna!
