It was and remains the best sandwich shop in Ferrara for decades

It's one of the favorite places of us Ferraresi of yesteryear. The sandwiches are still the same as they were forty years ago—very, very good.

What can I say? A legendary, historic establishment with a unique charm. Delicious sandwiches, among other things, friendly service, and a plethora of items that tell stories. A true "time machine" where you can eat well and drink excellent draft beer.

Ustariaza is everything you'd expect from a pub/sandwich shop. The atmosphere is original, with a touch of retro, and decorated with objects and many (many!) vintage cans everywhere. The beer selection is limited but excellent, and the sandwiches of all kinds have been consistently delicious for the past three years. Silvia and Marcello are always delicious, and being welcomed by them is always a pleasure. Another thing I love about Ustariaza is the clientele, often loyal, who contribute to a pleasant, family-like atmosphere, full of warmth (and lots of stories and pearls of wisdom).
