An institution, always a pleasure to return to. Reservations are highly recommended. If you're stuck for a wait, Mosto is practically down the same street for an aperitivo.

An excellent experience at this historic restaurant. The food truly exceeded our expectations, from the pizza to the typical Neapolitan starters and appetizers, and a Piennolo tomato we'll never forget... combined with kindness and dedication to the customer, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is the Naples we love!

We stumbled upon Umberto’s by chance… and it turned out to be the best dining experience of our entire trip to Naples. 🍝✨ Every bite was a delight, the staff was impeccable, and the atmosphere simply charming. It didn’t take long for us to realize this is one of those places the locals treasure… and now, so do we. 💛🇮🇹

Highly recommended! Delicious Neapolitan cuisine in a beautiful historic setting, with beautifully prepared dishes. This restaurant is part of the Slow Food movement and uses fresh, local ingredients. The wine list is also definitely worth trying. We'll be back!

Ristorante storico e di riferimento in Chiaia. Nell' ultima visita, qualche spunto non felice nel menù (vedi paccheri...) e un servizio che, nell' approccio del personale e per eccesso di confidenza, rischia di diventare fastidioso. La credibilità è un bene prezioso e da coltivare.

Ristopescheria La tana della Sirena

15/06/2025: The food was decent, but a bit tricky to eat — the shrimp is served whole, mixed with other ingredients that don’t need peeling, which makes it slightly inconvenient. The cone portion is quite small for the price, so it’s more of a snack than a full meal. Seating is very tight inside, and outside it can be a bit uncomfortable, as people constantly pass by and the ground is often wet, giving it that typical fish market feel. That said, it does offer an authentic Neapolitan experience.
06/06/2025: We arrived to get a cuoppo and Angela welcomed us with the utmost kindness and education. She sat us down immediately, recommending a maxi cuoppo that we took and split in two and she served us drinks. As for the cuoppo, I'll let the photo speak for itself, I'll just say that the fish was very fresh and very tasty. If you have to pass through Naples, this must be a fixed stop
