Umami In Marciana marina

Spectacular dinner, super friendly staff and chef. My only complaint would be to pay a little more attention to the ambiance...

Excellent experience, top-notch staff Excellent food

We went to Umami, having not been there in a couple of years. Unfortunately, it was very bad. Bland food, tartare that you can also find at a Japanese restaurant, overpriced wines, even the desserts were bland... Not worth the money.

Excellent location with a sunset view in the beautiful setting of Marciana Marina. The unusual seafood selection is lovely, such as conger eel, monkfish tripe, sconcigli, etc. Unfortunately, some dishes were overly elaborate, such as the dolphinfish cooked in oil, completely covered by the overpowering tomato sauce and a Maillard reaction that got out of hand (we mentioned this to the waiter, but no one explained). We're talking about €30 dishes, so we're looking for more attention from the kitchen. Two very sore points: - The bathroom - The children's dish Let me explain: as soon as we arrived, they offered us either pasta with tomato sauce or amberjack fillet with potatoes for the kids. Obviously, we opted for the second course, which was delicious. When the bill arrived, we discovered the price was €32, like any other more elaborate second course we've ordered; Good, of course, but since you're comparing it to a pasta dish with tomato sauce and then don't specify the price, I assume it's a different bill. And what's more, it's on a receipt that's not detailed. More attention from a place like this. The bread offered is good but not excellent. Perfect service.

Excellent cuisine with unique and refined dishes. The octopus spelling is fantastic. Impressive location. Excellent wines. Highly recommended!

Fantastic restaurant, dream cuisine, spectacular location.

If you're looking for a gourmet seafood restaurant that finally manages to combine elegance, quality, and satisfying portions, this is the place. Far from the usual dishes that are beautiful to look at but simple to eat: here, you'll leave satisfied, both in taste and in your stomach. The menu is meticulously crafted, and the spider crab menu is an experience not to be missed: refined, flavorful, and intelligently crafted, it leaves a lasting impression with its balance and intensity. But the true masterpiece is the amberjack with king trumpet mushrooms: a dish that surprisingly blends sea and land, perfectly cooked and with authentic flavors that blend seamlessly. The sea view is simply spectacular: an ideal setting for a special evening or even just a break from the daily grind. The service is impeccable: present, attentive, but never intrusive. If we really want to find a flaw, the wine list could offer a more mature selection of local labels: at the moment, they're all a bit too young to best accompany such a structured cuisine. In short: a restaurant that proves that gourmet doesn't have to mean small portions. Worth trying, savoring, and recommending.

Very nice restaurant with a unique view. Qualified staff for the type of place, Michelin-starred. Awesome and delicious dishes. The price is right for the type of service they offer you.

Cena di pesce ottima preceduta da due assaggi. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Materie prime eccellenti, piatti ben presentati e molto gustosi. Ristorante non certo economico ma con prezzi adeguati al servizio e ai piatti serviti.
