Ugo’s Pub In Monte argentario

Ugo’s pub is tucked in a corner across the street from Hotel Conchiglia and near the marina. they have a pub menu (sandwiches and appetizers) as well as a dinner menu and a selection of beer and wine. i ordered the Frittura Di Paraza (Fried Calamari, Shrimp and small fish) from the dinner menu (€20) along with a Leffe Belgian Red Ale (€6) The dish was served with a basket or warm bread which appreciated because the main dish was not pleasant to eat. 😔 The bite sized fish were edible but the calamari was rubbery and the shrimp tiny! All of it was extremely salty! I wish i hadn’t gone there for my last meal in Porto Ercole. It’s important to note that they also charge each person an additional €2 to sit and eat.

Very good quality home-made food, excellent fish, amazing place. I've been coming to Porto Ercole for 25 years but I've never been here. What a shame!

Friendly staff and quick service, good food, and reasonable prices considering the location. Plus, they've got something for those with lactose intolerance (the sandwich bread isn't brioche). I highly recommend it!

We were referred here by Massimiliano, the manager of a well-known hotel. The owner is very kind and helpful, and the food is good, excellent value. We will definitely return on our next vacation.

Truly exceptional place, friendly and professional. It's a small but very welcoming and refined place, with top-quality food. I had the exceptional fried pizza with prosciutto, and a delicious "le pietrine" sandwich. Excellent, substantial dishes, very fair prices considering the skill of the kitchen. I'll be back as soon as possible.
