Excellent seafood restaurant in the center of Catania with a modern twist. Tables inside and outside. The Aperifish concept is a good one, but reservations are required. Classic modern dishes, generous portions... Good value. Recommended.

We visited this wonderful place with friends we met while sightseeing, and they recommended it based on previous reviews. It was confirmed. The food was truly amazing, delicious, and prepared right after we ordered. Idyllic, angelic, atmospheric, clean, and lovely, with fresh flowers. 10/10 💯🔥

A Polish restaurant in the heart of Catania—Polish, because the guests are mostly Poles watching Makłowicz (or, like me, guided by Google reviews). Excellent value for money—the prices are very reasonable, as are the portion sizes. We paid €10 (shrimp) and €13 (gnocchi) for main courses, €5 for tiramisu, and €9-10 for appetizers. Everything was fresh and delicious; I highly recommend these dishes. Friendly service, pleasant interior. Restrooms are available.

29/10/2025: This restaurant has changed name to Fish and More. Half the space is now a different restaurant called Don Vince. So don't look for the name Il Maggese.
26/08/2025: We visited this restaurant on the 8th of August 2025, but I've only just been able to post a review. The food we had was brilliant, and I had to share my experience. My boyfriend chose spaghetti with tomatoes, prawns, burrata cheese, and pistachios, which was a rather interesting combination, something none of us had tried before in a savory dish. As for myself, I had gnocchi with a creamy pumpkin sauce, which was simple, but oh so good. And I would highly recommend these dishes to anyone who has never tried anything like it. We paired them with sparkling water and lemon, which was perfect for a hot summer day.

07/05/2026: Hello, we came by on our scooter from Palermo. The restaurant was very full, but we still managed to get a table. We received very friendly service. We ordered the butterfly cutlet with a mixed salad. It was very good and tasted really meaty. The price was reasonable, and we would gladly recommend it.
18/04/2026: Truly excellent trattoria, with tasty dishes and quality ingredients. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff. There was a bit of a wait, but that was understandable given the quality of the food. A very positive experience!
