30/11/2025: A minimal yet welcoming restaurant in the heart of Centocelle, spread across two rooms.
The welcome was warm, and the chef's entree was well received.
The menu was short but intriguing.
I tried many dishes, but none particularly impressed me.
The calamari with escarole was good quality but dry, the giardiniera with cod was good, but the cod was over-proportioned and lacking in flavor, the fritter was good and tasty, even if it lacked the accompanying yogurt.
The fusilloni were decent, and the tonnarelli were good.
I didn't appreciate the amatriciana, however, as the sauce was too sweet and completely muted the flavor of the dish.
To finish, the doughnuts were tasteless, the frangipane tart was unremarkable, and the ricotta and persimmon dessert was completely unrelated.
The bill was reasonable.
Friendly service and reasonable wait times.
I expected something more given the good reviews.
The cuisine certainly has a good hand, but I would review the choice of some raw materials and reevaluate the taste and balance of some dishes.
