A bistro with some gourmet pretensions, with a limited menu and a fairly limited selection for non-fish eaters. Prices are moderately high. However, the food and service are up to par.
The place is a delight... innovative... a contemporary osteria... the host, so to speak... elegant, courteous, and very knowledgeable. We had charcoal-cooked vegetables... which were truly excellent, and the giardiniera was good... in a small bowl... not much... unfortunately, the rest was disappointing... very disappointing... the lamb shoulder for two... a generous portion... but hard as a rock... I've never eaten lamb so tough... the rabbit... definitely not tender... bitterish due to the wrong sauce, in my opinion... on a bed of turnip tops... equally tough.
The cream ice cream with balsamic vinegar was good... three glasses of wine... for 65 euros each... very expensive... for what we ordered. Maybe I'll try it again... for the Crescentine... and the cured meats... but I wouldn't dare to.
