25/08/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch today at the Casa del Gusto restaurant and the experience was extraordinary. We started with a cutting board that to define as wonderful would be an understatement: each ingredient was displayed clearly and impeccably, creating a spectacular and unique sight. The first courses were a real delight, with attention to the smallest details, with refined and genuine flavours. which combine homemade tradition with a touch of originality. Finally, the hot hazelnut cake was the grand finale: a dessert that alone would be worth the visit. All this at an incredibly reasonable price, only 25 euros each for starter , first courses, dessert and drinks. The service was perfect, with the right timing and a convivial atmosphere that is rarely found. A place to definitely return!
18/08/2024: Walking along the Corso di Caprarola, we wanted to try this restaurant and, given the improvisation, only internal tables were available. Given the outside temperature was not the worst we accepted, unfortunately the absence of air conditioning made itself felt. To start we had two appetizers, baked scamorza with truffle flakes, very good and the truffle on the plate was excellent and plentiful, a portion of fried aubergine meatballs in tomato sauce, very soft and good... an excellent choice . We wanted to end the evening with two first courses, a fettuccine with white wild boar ragù and a picio all'amatriciana...unfortunately the evening took an unexpected turn. Both dishes were a little dry, the fettuccine with ragù was too dry, as was the amatriciana sauce, too thick and slightly dry. A real shame because the quality of the pasta and the wild boar meat was beyond question. We are quite convinced that it was a bad night. We will definitely be back to try new dishes. Sin.
