I still remember when in the summer, as a child, my parents took me to lunch on Sundays in the old location, a few meters away from the current one, of this historic place. It was just a restaurant, much more rustic and authentic, but I still remember the risotto from which it took its name. Unfortunately something has been lost over the years, and in the change of location, but what remains is still a good product more in line with new trends perhaps. The young staff are very good and professional, the new organization of the rooms is elegant and spacious with also a good possibility of outdoor parking and the range of dishes is well-articulated, plentiful and tasty. Be careful with the salt though!

The food is amazing! The Barolo risotto and the game are highly recommended. Rich and delicious homemade starter. Hospitality and service at the top. And what can I say Arturo, the owner and the chef, is a delightful person.

I have been dining in this restaurant for years, for us the "risotto" is only here. They are really very good, delicate, abundant, absolutely recommended for food. To accompany, bread was served hot.
If it were closer to our city, we would go there much more often.
However, it is important to make a note that left us disappointed: the owner (we think it is him) who signs the orders is at times grumpy, almost annoyed. It seems like customers are a burden. It's a shame because it really is a great restaurant.

Questo è uno dei ristoranti storici della zona, da quando abito a Varese ne ho sempre sentito parlare ma colpevolmente non ci ero mai stato. Colpisce la location che trasuda storia da ogni mattone (è una palazzina di inizi ‘900) e d’estate si può mangiare all’aperto al fresco sotto una bella tettoia. Il menu (non prettamente estivo) è incentrato sulla tradizione (basta osservare l’età media dei clienti) e a questo giro abbiamo saltato i risotti (rimedieremo la prossima volta) e optato su antipasti e secondi di carne. Tutto molto buono, servizio efficiente e conto giusto. Ci rivediamo a settembre con i suoceri per il risotto con l’ossobuco e le rane fritte. Posto ideale per un pranzo in famiglia.

Locale non pienissimo, decido di uscire un po' dalla solita scelta del risotto e vado sul coniglio alla ligure. Buonissimo per davvero e porzione enorme! Servito con polenta in triangoli. Servizio non molto curato ma neanche negativo. Il paradiso comunque per chi ama il risotto
